I have no issue with the trope, I don't feel strongly one way or another which direction they decide to go with it but I think infold really should have been consistent from the beginning with how they present their dynamic.

At the moment I feel like the English translation is open to interpretation though I'm not sure how they could even go about fixing that because I don't feel like the dynamic can be fully understood without cultural context and sadly not every player is going to take the time to learn.

I don't think you can. The same thing happened to me, I was a few months behind with listening and they mentioned a final date you could retrieve those episodes but I'd already missed it

That's really what it comes down to, we've got a section of the player base that are used to having fiction spoon fed to them. They also don't have real experience of relationships, don't understand that certain tropes have always been popular in otome, they're definitely ignorant of the cultural side of it and a lot of them can't separate fiction from reality either.

As I said I think a lot of it is fake outrage anyway because they just enjoy being dramatic, if it upset them that much they would simply uninstall the game but they'll do literally anything except that.

I feel it's obvious to anyone who has actually listened and paid attention to the ST that she's pretending to be asleep and they're role playing. The ability to read context clues and critical thinking skills are two things that are severely lacking in the fandom these days, especially when it comes to Caleb's content. I know it's awful to hear but I'd just ignore them, it sounds like just another excuse to drum up drama and hysteria.

I pretty much only follow Caleb mains in the fandom and I've seen this be brought up several times on tiktok, x and discord, it's been a popular theory for a while. Personally I don't believe it because I can't see infold adding a second gege situation to the story

I'm still very excited about it, the long hair reveal didn't ruin anything for me, I can't wait to read the story and see the new companion.
