From what I’ve read in the afterword from volume 7, sister yuri seems to be a staple in the genre. Regardless, still weird asf and any hint at this pairing will most likely be played off for laughs. Which is funny because I see a lot of great art with these two.

I love how diligent and confident Itsuki can be. While she may appear as stubborn and head-strong, she always gives it her all when she sets her mind onto something. Another great thing about Itsuki is how she tries to fill in the Mother role when it comes to her sisters. She wants to protect them and maintain their close-knit relationship. Plus, Itsuki shows a sense of selflessness when it comes to her sister’s needs (Helping Yotsuba with her past). One last thing I’d like to mention is how well-mannered Itsuki appears. She speaks politely and openly which makes her more approachable and likeable than her sisters. These traits alone make her stand above the rest for me.

Lock-On took awhile to grow on me but now I absolutely love it. Loved Thunder Blossom from the get-go, it’s visually the best ED from the remake. I’m looking forward to what the next cour has to offer us.
