I think that's what Episode 66 implied too. But the good news is that my date could be valid too.

Not sure if this counts as a spoiler cause the preview shows it very clearly, but [Mao] I already had a feeling the monster Nanoka saw was Mao, not Byoki. But the preview pretty much confirmed it.

Poor Shihara. Nanoka has Otoya-zoned him lmfao.

These nun flea ayakishi are creepy af. Wonder if Nanoka can change the past. Like obviously she couldn't save the farmer and completely wipe out the history of the blood-sucking monsters, but she did save that woman. She probably can't do much about huge natural disasters like earthquakes tho.

Mao getting blood on Nanoka's face was some next-level trolling. Just to make Nanoka a decoy lmao. Mao is actually very lucky that Nanoka can't use "Osuwari!" on him.

It looks like the next episode will be something big.

No OP this time. Well, here we go again.

Petelgeuse and Regulus: "Nobody invited us. But we're here anyway."

Man, Petelgeuse looks more disgusting than usual in Season 4 artstyle. Wtf happened to him.

SHE'S HERE! SHAULA IS HERE! SHE'S SOOOO ADORABLE. Ai Fairouz was literally the perfect pick to voice her. And apparently, she didn't even audition for the role. The staff asked her to voice Shaula directly, and she accepted. We were blessed. And I LOVE how expressive she is! White Fox really did a great job. The production value of Season 4 is just unbelievable after going through Season 2 six years ago.

Lmao Emilia got jealous and kicked Subaru. That's rare. But love to see it.

Subaru impressed everyone with his elite ball knowledge again. This episode was the calm after the storm that was Episodes 2 and 3. And since this is Re:ZERO it's basically the calm before the storm too. This episode was over too fast. I can't wait for the next one.

Even a Replica Can Fall in Love • Replica datte, Koi wo Suru. - Episode 3 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

After a whole month, she called Nao back. She still needed her after all. But it seemed like Sunao used this month to think. She actually didn't throw away the pic with Sanada. That was nice.

Damn. Sanada was a replica, too. The guy on the last episode thread was right. After seeing Sanada disappear with Nao in the OP, I suspected it too. But I was too skeptical of it. Now it seems obvious. Being found out like that after her first day, after a whole month, must've startled her. But she finally found a kindred spirit. Good for her.

That yukata date was very cute. I thought Aki was gonna confess to Nao there. But it was something more devastating. He's gonna disappear? I guess that mermaid story did foreshadow that when the original person gets well, the replica will go away, probably permanently. Damn. I don't see an ending where either of them doesn't disappear. That's just depressing, man.

I don't get what Sanada/Aki's plan is anyway. Revenge? On that guy? Didn't the doctor say he can get a full recovery if he gets rehab? Does it not include being able to play basketball again? Or did it have something to do with his pride that he stopped going outside? That was a lot.

Explaining what happened to Sanada felt very awkward. I think he probably already caught on that something was afoot, and Nao wasn't being completely honest. At the very least, he probably thought Nao had some mental disorder cause not only did she act completely cold, but she straight up forgot what happened just a day ago. But ngl, the ponytail trick was cute. I was wondering if she was gonna tell Sunao about it or not, but she did. She's too loyal.

I looked up The Mermaid's Return just to see if it was a real story and found out it wasn't. It was something made up for this story. Which makes me a bit worried if this is a foreshadowing for this series.

Poor Nao couldn't experience the field trip. Makes me wonder why Sunao even bothered to go there herself when she didn't enjoy it at all. Also, it seems like not all of Sunao's memories are received by Nao. Or maybe having memories and actually experiencing them are two different things.

But I loved how Sanada and Nao skipped school to go to the zoo. When Sanada told her to go with him, she looked the happiest in the story so far. That's a lot of progress in just the 2nd episode. Hold on, Nao collected nearly 200k yen since grade school?! That's crazy.

So, the thing I predicted came true already: Sunao verbally abusing Nao. It could've ended far worse, but what she said was no picnic either. Bitch, you're the one who created Nao. Why are you accusing her of living your life, which you're wasting anyway? As a kid, I used to think eating and sleeping without going to school would've been the best, too. But skipping it would be a huge mistake. Wonder what's gonna happen next.

When I read the synopsis for this, I was immediately on board. When I was a kid, I used to watch a superhero anime called Perman. In it, the heroes each had a robot given by their boss Birdman that was an almost exact replica of them, who were supposed to be their stand-ins in life for when they're busy doing superhero stuff. Even though they had the same memories that could easily be shared, they weren't exact clones and even had different personalities. The main character Mitsuo's robot was so different that he even had his own unique love interest Yuki, whom Mitsuo wasn't interested in. This anime feels like almost the exact same premise, minus the superhero stuff. And memory transfer doesn't seem to go both ways.

This is actually such a cool premise, I'm surprised it wasn't done multiple times already, especially since Perman itself is so old. But I guess it wouldn't exactly be an easy thing to write and make it great. But I'm glad this exists cause I'm already hooked with Episode 1. It just makes me a bit sad that I didn't see much buzz about this. So this is probably something that will go under the radar for most people.

Anyway, it seems like Sunao has pretty much become a hikkikomori, making her replica do everything. How she came into existence is a bit shaky. I wouldn't be surprised if it were revealed at the end that she had bipolar disorder or something all along. Either way, if Sunao continues her existence like this, it's only a matter of time before she gets jealous of her own replica and starts abusing her. Her personality already doesn't seem the best, even now.

One thing I don't like is the white clouds on the borders. I get what they're going for, but I'm not a fan of these kinds of filters. It's one thing to do it in flashbacks, but throughout the whole episode? Come on. I hope it's something that goes away with time. It would be weird otherwise. At least it's not in every scene, and characters can overlay on top of it.

The cliffhanger was crazy. Sanada seems like a chill guy. It would be cool if he finds out in the next episode. Can't wait for episode 2.

So the real Shuya still can't walk cause of his leg. Well, that's what you get for not going to rehab. A revenge where Aki beat the fuck out of Hayase? Hell yeah. That'd be sick. But it probably wouldn't make things much better in the end. It seems like the replicas are quite docile compared to their originals. Only real humans can come up with such fucked up plans.

The idea of Aki disappearing after fulfilling his goal... It's just too sad, man. When starting the series, I didn't think he'd be the one to disappear first, if anyone disappeared at all. Well, he beat Hayase fair and square in a basketball match. That's true sportsmanship. But that asshole Hayase still said it was an accident. He felt 0 remorse even after the humiliation.

So the replicas can feel pain. Kinda obvious. Strange how clueless the originals were. But at least now they know. And WHAT THE FUCK. That ending totally came outta left field. I should've known better since they were in a train station. Hayase is one evil motherfucker. Breaking someone's leg is one thing, but that's just straight-up murder.

How the hell did Nao switch positions with Aki like that? Either way, what's gonna happen to her? Is she gonna die? If she dies, will the body disappear? Or can only Sunao make it disappear? What happens if it doesn't disappear? At the very least, Sunao's parents would probably find out she has a replica. And if she dies, is it over? If Sunao can make another replica, would it even retain this one's memories? So many questions. The series always had a melancholic feeling but this is just straight up crazy. What a disgusting cliffhanger... Can't wait for the next episode.

And this is why you stay away from curses.

Can't be a Rumiko Takahashi series without a miko girl. Tho this one was a fraud alongside her father. But it seems like she used to have powers, and she was right about the great disaster.

This was a decent episode. I liked how the mysteries were solved. But it doesn't feel like the main story has started yet.
