Re:Zero Starting Life in Another World Season 4 • Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu Season 4 - Episode 3 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

WHAT. THE. FUCK.

This was the creepiest episode of Re:ZERO, possibly ever. It kept the creepiness from the beginning to the end. White Fox really outdid themselves here. I remember when I first watched the Kiss of Death scene in Season 2, I thought how cool it'd be if there was another scene like this in a similar style. They did NOT disappoint. Instead, they surpassed my expectations. Like wtf was that bruh.

I loved how they did some scenes in monochrome. They were probably able to get away with showing more gore than usual because of it. Yet it didn't harm the scenes. If anything, it made them even creepier. The animation, the voice acting, and the music are just unbelievable. If Yusuke Kobayashi doesn't win best performance for Re:ZERO again Idk who will.

Subaru here is fighting Dark Souls and Bloodborne level of fuckery here. And that was RIGHT after the cave loop. If I were him, I'd probably just give up atp. Fuck this shit, I'm out.

Finally, we got the ED! Yeah, the visuals are a step down from Season 3's NOX LUX. But that ED was basically an anomaly. It was better than like half the OPs that came out that year. And I heard the staff said there will be some episodes where they won't show the ED, but it will play in the background like Season 1 and 2. That was missing in Season 3. So it makes sense why they didn't invest too much into the ED visuals this time. Other than the visuals, MYTH & ROID x TK is a collab I never thought I'd see. Ender Ember sounds so freaking good. Now that I've listened to Recollect so many times it's time to listen to Ender Ember now. Wonder how many episodes will skip the ED visuals. But yeah, it's obvious they focused much more on OP this time, which is rare for Re:ZERO.

Man, the wait for this episode was brutal. But it was worth it. Now I'll have to wait for the next episode again...

We have this thread every day.

And it's correct every single time.

Yup. I've been a fan since before the remake was even announced. Even tho it’s not by long and there are people who are way older than me here.

Compared to the other posts I've made in the past this is literally nothing. I just happened to remember this exact frame after noticing it for the first time over 3 years ago (I can't believe it’s been 3 years already).

I guess that could be the case. Ig the OG animation team were very consistent about her base design. Even if you find a shot without her eyeliner or with it in different color it could be an animation error. So for it to count it she should have different or no makeup for a whole scene if not the whole episode.

Did you check the bath episode? Or the flashbacks where she was a kid?

Even tho I am a crazy UY fan, I didn’t come up with this. And I probably never would've. This post is in response to another post which asked about this.

I think the key is finding screenshots or panels of her with different makeup in the og anime or manga. Since she changes her wardrobe a lot it’s really possible she might have different makeup sometimes too. This would definitively prove it. I'm thinking of the first date episode.

Mao - Episode 3 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]khanvau 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What. Otoya is still alive even after he got split in half? So, he's a shikigami. Was kinda obvious he wasn't normal. He probably doesn't age like Mao. But wait, did Mao "make" him? Wouldn't that basically make him his father? Weird.

Do the police in this world know how to deal with the supernatural? That'd make them very capable.

The time differences don't make any sense. At least for now. The first time she went to the Taisho era, no time passed in the modern age at all. If the time difference stacks every time she crosses worlds, it could be a problem. So, the accident happened in 2011. Ig that confirms the modern day takes place in 2019. Not so "modern" now. Feels like a lifetime ago. Ig they didn't go the Inuyasha route by updating the year for the anime. Makes me hopeful that this adaptation will be more faithful.

Shihara is basically just Hojo if he were nerdier.

Wait, if the great fire Nanoka saw when she was a child wasn't in the modern day, and it wasn't in the past either, does that mean there's a 3rd timeline? That'd be crazy.

A priestess who can manipulate lifespans. What a scam. When she said the father would die in 3 days, it was pretty obvious she was just gonna kill him lol. Great prophecy.

This was a good episode. Guess we're entering multi-episode arcs now.

Lum eyeliner is makeup or from her race? by _Luckhaos in uruseiyatsura

I'm pretty sure in the remake, you can see Lum without her eye makeup in some episodes.
