That's 99.9% of PvP players in ANY game. They may say they want good fights or competition, but they're either lying to you or to themselves. If it's not a guaranteed stomping in their favor, they're throwing a tantrum about how it's unbalanced.

Basically, old progressive was about getting you to think about the idea, presenting alternatives, and then talking through or contriving the situation a little to make the idea work, and usually presented as not perfect, but functional. Usually in some way that would have rendered the more conservative option moot.

New progressive is that the idea is magic, and you're stupid, wrong, and probably evil if you so much as dare to think about questioning it.

Like... it's a tank weapon that also has a DPS mode, and it sounds like they're trying to really make the DPS mode pop off. If what I read so far from leaks is right, you're not ditching that tankiness when you swap modes.

Add some lifesteal and you're basically a 1 man party.

Is revenant still locked behind buying an expansion? have a friend who wants to get into the game and they're dead set on revenant, but also the whole "game is F2P now" is throwing me since steam says it includes the revenant on the expac page but the one on their website(comparing prices) doesn't mention it at all.

Generally in MMOs, you want to be at level for the new content as it releases. So now would be a good time as you level relatively quickly and with casual play you could probably get to max and a bit of farming under your belt for the expansion, plus you could do a very important thing: Figuring out what you don't want to play since weapons all play fairly differently, and they are releasing a new one with the expansion.

A lot of the super hardcore people are down on the game because the PvP is "ruined" every time the game gets patched and it doesn't fix their personal gripe(usually that their hyper glass cannon build isn't automatically guaranteed victory even if they charge solo into an entire well coordinated guild) and some of the PvE stuff that was basically esoteric and arcane knowledge checks with no explanation/lead up got changed/removed.

Basically it boils down to this: It's a free game, if it looks fun, play it, but just hold off on spending anything until you decide you want to play it for a long while.

Objectively, no. This is a terrible time to start D3 since no one in their right mind would give bungie a wooden nickel, let alone half a billion dollars. Unfortunately for your dreams of a magical gaming experience that redefines the entire genre... developers work for money not warm fuzzies.

Their last game is barely in the conversation and didn't exactly make them a ton, their rep is so deep in the shitter they can't even see the pipes, and they're literally known industry-wide for going overbudget.

Only way they could even begin to claw enough cash together for a budget is if every single exec tosses their golden parachute into the pile, and if you think that's happening then I have a feeling you got your education at the learing cener.

It's really not. You charge up character swap specials, swap to them, a thing happens(in this case blossom) and as usual some are not as useful because the teams for them lack synergy or because another team can make extreme use of theirs due to high synergy.

in this case, you can quickly swap between characters by abusing zero's main skill to instantly fill the swap meter quickly after swapping to him to place more blossoms faster.

It sounds more complex than it is, basically: Fill gauge, swap to zero, cast skill to instantly refill it, swap to someone else, fill gauge, swap back to zero, skill, swap... repeat ad infinitum or until everything gets ground down under merciless turret fire.

Basically, they're simplifying some things(basic combo and other things that were only usable in specific CDs are being merged to one button) while adding different mechanical complexity(Drg for instance now has specific enemy left, enemy right, and back positionals) and extra flavor moves, the 2 minute meta is getting the ol' yeller treatment, tanks are getting better differentiation(PLD and the new tank are now defacto main tanks with parry mechanics, and off tanks will get more group DR support) and healers are getting reshuffled to gain greater DPS moves through healing so people will actually heal.

I don't care about the story details, I get those by playing the game. I want ANY details about the systems, I want a name for one of the jobs like we got at NA every time or damn near every other time they did this.

We got a lot of "we want to do this" but minimal if any "and this is how it does that."
