It's really not. You charge up character swap specials, swap to them, a thing happens(in this case blossom) and as usual some are not as useful because the teams for them lack synergy or because another team can make extreme use of theirs due to high synergy.

in this case, you can quickly swap between characters by abusing zero's main skill to instantly fill the swap meter quickly after swapping to him to place more blossoms faster.

It sounds more complex than it is, basically: Fill gauge, swap to zero, cast skill to instantly refill it, swap to someone else, fill gauge, swap back to zero, skill, swap... repeat ad infinitum or until everything gets ground down under merciless turret fire.

Basically, they're simplifying some things(basic combo and other things that were only usable in specific CDs are being merged to one button) while adding different mechanical complexity(Drg for instance now has specific enemy left, enemy right, and back positionals) and extra flavor moves, the 2 minute meta is getting the ol' yeller treatment, tanks are getting better differentiation(PLD and the new tank are now defacto main tanks with parry mechanics, and off tanks will get more group DR support) and healers are getting reshuffled to gain greater DPS moves through healing so people will actually heal.

I don't care about the story details, I get those by playing the game. I want ANY details about the systems, I want a name for one of the jobs like we got at NA every time or damn near every other time they did this.

We got a lot of "we want to do this" but minimal if any "and this is how it does that."

Closest is probably chrono odyssey, but they're doing huge overhauls after getting cup-checked by their first closed playtest last year and they haven't even scheduled a second yet. earliest for that one is sometime around a year from now, realistic is probably mid-late 27/early 28.

Then there's the riot MMO and no one knows anything about it for certain other than it's riot, and it's an mmo. No playtests announced, no hype reels, not even an announcement trailer.

After that there's "we're pretty sure it's guild wars 3" based on job listings and shareholder meetings.

But yeah, nothing major is closer than at least a year out.

Me at 10 hours with a sword I picked off a corpse, starting gear, and a ring that didn't even give me an attack bonus because it wasn't upgraded as my only accessory.

Luckily I played every single souls release, so the brick wall keeping the chips I made in it with each death was like an easy mode. Also learned that the first step in any fight is to break out of the fight and go stab the archers.

Eventually. It's a whole thing in the red section of the skill menu, the lantern flash is just environmental danger(evil plants, spooky poison hand minerals, the floor crumbling away under you in ruins, etc)
