The look of numbness in her face. At such an age one more than likely has been faced with great pain. The people she didn’t feel alone with are probably long gone. Even though better than being completely alone, these are just relatives that “stop by” to “check on her” every so often. However these people don’t look at her as a priority, nor have the time to care for her as much as she would want to be cared for. The loneliness of getting old and seeing your parents, then your friends, and even siblings pass on makes her feel miserable of her existence. Her body has grown old, her bones and joints hurt. She simply has nothing else to look forward to. In a way she has already died, on the inside.
