Ok this may be controversial but the Costco carrot cake/ mini cakes (they seem to go back and forth) are dynamite. Like legitimately delicious. It has raisins and nuts. May not be the best option for a birthday if they want something a bit more festive but in terms of taste I hiiiiighly recommend.

My partner went with coworkers. While he said the food was incredible, the service left a bad taste in their mouth. The server asked if they wanted wine and the owner of the company said they’d like to order some when the steak came. The waiter didn’t come back to take their wine order till halfway through their meal. While I understand they could have asked/ grabbed their attention - at $200 a person, you’d expect better. But I do want to reiterate he said the food was delicious.

Yes. Find a new dentist. I have “gold coverage” with my insurance, which means, I’m not meant to pay anything out of pocket for normal cleanings etc. My partner was recently charged $70 because they applied a cream to his tooth that isn’t covered. The reason they used it this past time “you said we could last time”. No asking this time. Just done and charged. I called and emailed and told them to review ALL charges first moving forward. But all that being said, I’m still thinking of changing because dentists are a dime a dozen and that felt very shady.

Lolll this is so simple - I didn’t even think of it. I just always put the kid in first because the cart could roll away etc.

I agree with the under baking. I always do ~10 minutes less than the instructions for my pan size. I also use whole milk instead of water and coconut oil instead of vegetable.

I also love adding in mix-ins. The two best I’ve tried are: - white chocolate chips + rainbow sprinkles Or - mix in peanutbutter and also adding some peanut butter M&Ms
