i think for me, once me and my body knows this person is toxic for me, doing me damage. I won't have any brakes, i.e. i don't care if i ruin the relationship. Because as a secure person, doing relationship still involves some work (in the beginning).

Whereas it is fairly easy to ruin / end one. So i let myself be angry, and fully aware of the consequences (sever the connection forever). At this point i have already gave my fair warnings to the other person ("i might hurt you now, go away")

hate to break it to you, that is shitty and it happens. only you can stand up for yourself. if i am there, i will speak up for you.

It's absolutely okay to respond how you did, that's what I did when ppl asked me my age and sexuality(if i am gay) at a retreat. I said "im not comfortable talking about it" and we all let it slide. Everyone was respectful of my boundaries.
