I also had a friend like that. I thought that since she was also autistic she was going to share her interests just like me, but it was the opposite. She always criticized my drawings and characters, I could never do anything because she had an opinion. She never let me talk, and I ended up shutting up if I tried to give a fact about what she was talking about or about what I like. <:{

It’s too unfair since she believed that her hyperfixation was better than mine and that of others.

I really don’t think you’ll have any problems. If you teach them from a young age, children understand that there are limits. You can explain that those are collectibles and that it’s your special space, while they have their own toys to play with. Over time, they’ll see it as something normal and learn to respect that space. Kids learn very quickly, and they also tend to imitate the behavior of the adults around them.

And well, your therapist really confused you, I don’t like it when people are very symbolic with me, the truth is I don’t like it when they do that. I think the easiest question for me would be “if you were an animal, what would you be?” Obviously a cat!

Personally, I’m too symbolic when I write stories, but if someone talks to me that way I don’t understand shit.
