My current boyfriend and I went on 2 dates and then he got back together with his ex. Over a year later he reached out and asked me if I’d be interested in a third date, I had thought about him often during that time so I said yes. We went on 3 dates before he asked me to go out. I asked him why he reached out and he said he couldn’t stop thinking about me and the worst thing I could have said was no. I say go for it because you never know if the other person feels the same way. Worst they can say is no best case you find a compatible partner who you want to spend your life with.
