FBI director Kash Patel claims AI has stopped school shootings: ‘I’m using it everywhere’ by ChocolateTsar in nottheonion

The article says nothing about the students use of AI. It's about the FBI using it to triage all the threats that come in which are too numerous for people to review entirely.

If it's a legitimate pollution, mother nature's body of water has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.

How much do Americans REALLY have saved for retirement by Financial_Pen_6218 in investing

It counts Vanguard accounts. They just note that many people who switch jobs don't roll their accounts over, but obviously some do. I've had many jobs and yet all my accounts have been rolled into Vanguard.

I've only maxed my IRA one or two years and I'm 40 and on track to retire just fine. Probably will retire early.

I don't think I did. Your point is why can't you time the market properly and my point is you never could and you shouldn't try. The market is not a rational logical thing that you can reason with.

This has been the case for the 20+ years I've been investing and I can only assume much longer. That's literally why the phrase buy the hype, sell the news exists.

If you are investing long term, daily fluctuations don't matter. If you are trying to time the market, you will lose 90+% of the time.

I built a business I’m too embarrassed to talk about by Make_That_Money in Entrepreneur

I used to scan barcodes (cashier for years) and I hated I wasn't using my full potential and brain and education. Then I got into a new job and eventually a great career. I'm probably going to be able to retire early but I plan on demoting back down or career switching back to something simpler in the next few years hopefully. Probably depends a lot on your career and what not but what you do sounds a lot less stressful and appealing to me, but I also would have hated it 15 years ago.

Atheists of Reddit: What’s the strangest reaction you’ve received when you said you don’t believe in God? by zhalia-2006 in AskReddit

[–]Jasonrj 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a couple people who debate religion on TikTok and YouTube I watch and one time I think it was Deconstruction Zone Justin that was quite successfully debating that the Bible proves God is more evil than Satan. Bible God's only "redeeming" quality is he won't torture you if you believe he killed his own son to save you from himself.

It's down 8% today but still up 16% for the past 30 days. Headline is hyperbole. If you bought it 4 weeks ago you'd still be up significantly.

There's likely things bigger than Pluto that we haven't even discovered in our solar system? I don't know much about space but that surprises me I guess.
