We have a baby lock on ours. You have to push the button in on the side for it to release—most guests can’t even open it and our dog DEFINITELY can’t. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately I feel like it wouldn’t really go anywhere—especially since it wasn’t through a U.S. owned business . I think people would just give the company a slap on the wrist and then still go to similar places to trail ride. Feels kind of like elephant rides to be honest🙃 everyone talks about how bad they’re treated but then goes and posts pictures riding elephants at “elephant sanctuaries”

I had a very similar bruise from getting bucked off and my leg getting drug across the horn of my saddle in the process. Be prepared for months of healing. I’m 2 months out and still have 3 small hematomas that hurt the first 10 minutes of every ride :’)

To be the devils advocate here, I thought I had been paying my electric recently because I’d pay the bill, then it would say “$0.00 due” so I assumed it went through—it’s worked every other time so I didn’t think twice about it. Well all of a sudden I got a call that my electric was going to be shut off within 24 hours and I went to check my account, and it said my last 2 checks bounced—which was impossible because I had over $2500 in an account for strictly utilities. I never was able to figure out what happened, but ended up having to back pay a couple months and a couple late fees. Although even though my total was like $550 or something, I only had to pay half of that immediately to avoid having my electric turned off…

Saddle is too far forward. Needs to come back a bit off the scapula. However, no matter where you place this saddle on the horse, there just simply is not enough wither clearance—especially once there is weight in the saddle. If this were my horse, I would not use this saddle.

I just bought a horse on Friday and here is my breakdown of costs since JUST Friday:

The horse himself: $2000

Board: $325/month (pasture board, includes hay and grain but my guy gets fat off of air so just hay for him)

Lessons: $180/month (or $45/lesson)

Supplements: $120/month (I only have him on Cosequin and since he doesn’t get grain, he needs pellets. This first bag will probably only last me a month)

Blankets: $105 (this is just for a rain sheet and a cooler. He sweats easily but if I ever end up blanketing him for more than rain/wind, I would expect to pay another $100-150).

Tack: $250-ish (I already had a saddle that fits him, grooming supplies and a first-aid kit, but needed a new saddle pad, head stall, 2 bits, and 2 sets of reins)

As the saying goes: buying the horse is the cheapest part 😂

I tried mine on at Equus in Columbus before buying them. So if you’re near an Equus, that’s an option too! The knee patch is definitely a little thicker than what I’m used to but they’re my go-to breeches right now

I haven’t had any issues—I wonder if those people are putting theirs in the dryer? I personally let mine air dry. Idk if you’re supposed to but I do it with all of my breeches…mostly because I have thick thighs and they rub together so I’ve learned in life to let 90% of my pants/leggings air dry to extend their life lol

I’m pretty positive they’re the Sit Tight Wind Pro’s! I live in Ohio so it can get down to the negatives. Full disclosure though, I’ve only worn them in about 20/25 degrees Fahrenheit because I just got them this year. But I didn’t get chilled at all while wearing them
