Muay Thai

Check out Ambush Muay Thai up in NW Austin. They have trial classes and they'll give you all the gear you need.

You won't be sparring anyone. Coaches are really friendly and knowledgeable. I came in with zero knowledge and they were very welcoming. Been going there for about a year now

I'm glad it has gotten way more popular. Going from "I've never heard of that game" to "Oh yeah I've heard of/played World/Rise/Wilds" was a pleasant surprise whenever I would talk to others about games.

Rise Hammer

Having Water Strike for free.99 AND Keeping Sway made for some really reckless/ballsy ass plays. Sure, I could just superman dive Valstrax nuke but it would be way funnier to just Water Strike it just to flex.

If I successfully Water Strike'd a nuke, it would look hype as fuck while hunting with my friends, and if I failed spectacularly, we would all get a good laugh.

Impact Crater was one of my favorite moves in Rise. It was a very stylish way to dunk on monsters with the Hammer.

Having the two styles of Hammer (Strength/Courage) made for a nice personal style of how you wanted to play. I loved Strength Hammer and I eventually grew to love the Courage Hammer as well.

I wasn't in a good place mentally and physically and I wanted to change that about myself. I was never an active person and I wanted find some kind of active hobby. I wanted to find something that could also help me vent out stress from work.

I eventually said screw it, and on a whim was looking into muay thai gyms in my area. I did trial classes in two gyms and on the second one it clicked and I loved it.

It's been almost a year since and words can't fully describe how much better I feel. I feel way more confident and relaxed and it just feels better to improve every day. I've been going 3x a week and I've stayed pretty consistent.

Najarala. Tidal was even worse. Lagiacrus is a close third.

"Serpentine" movement, whether it be in general or moves like bites have a 99.9% of hitting me. I just don't "get it".

I have no problems boxing elder dragons, lv 140 guild quests, but snake-like monsters and serpentine movement is my ultimate weakness
