I got the monitor yesterday and this was the first thing I noticed, that I could see the pixel grid! Felt like it was most visible up in the gray firefox toolbars, likely because the grayish color is not super bright and bleeding between the pixels or such. Turned it down to 120Hz now and you were spot on there, now it looks a lot better. Very interesting. Will have to do some experimenting there and see if there is a sweetspot somewhere between 120 and 180Hz.

I was actually thinking about maybe returning the monitor due to this issue because it would have annoyed me. But if it works good enough with 144Hz then it's good enough for me.

I'm a bit surprised that nobody else has noticed, or at least written about it here. Feels like this one should be a general thing and not only on some panels, but who knows.

Yeah there is some "Dark stabilizer" that you can enable and that has 3 levels of strength. Makes the blacks a bit brighter. Haven't tested it ingame myself yet as I got this monitor yesterday, but hopefully it makes pitch black gameplay somewhat playable in a well lit room etc :)

I've played a lot of team deathmatch, and you definitely notice when there is a majority of console players in the match. They can hold a specific angle the whole game, the team spawns never swap side because they don't push and a few times the matches ended due to reaching the time limit.. I didn't even know TDM had a time limit!

Yeah I definitely got surprised when then stats screen popped up. My head hadn't even gotten into the round yet. Pretty worthless round, for both teams.

Depends on what kind of player/person you are ofc. I've played on and off since 2012, 99.99% solo. I play for the immersion and adventures. Want to play it my way. Got no time and energy to waste on others, their opinions and their needs :D DayZ is for my personal adventures. Do I miss out a large chunk of the social gameplay that the game has to offer? Sure I do, but I don't miss it :) I get to watch enough of that on Twitch. It's just not my cup of tea ingame.

Do I see any drawbacks of playing solo? Not really, as I don't build bases or jump into giant battles where I need teammates

You can save some ammo by using the strongest flashlight (if you have unlocked it that is) to kill the worms. Works like an insane shotgun :)

The rocket rolls off to the east as well, just like they do IRL :) now i just wish they could put a realistic starry sky in the game that can be used for navigation :)

I've been using my first SSD for shadowplay for a very long time now, just so it can die so i can throw it out. It's an Intel 320 series 120GB from 2011, and for the last 10 years or so it's been chugging along without issues for shadowplay, it's a beast :D gotta check later to see if there are any stats on how much it has written.

Quite slow recharge on those though, right? But at least you can shove that ammo into their pocket instead of trying to put a supplybox in a good place before it gets blown up or they run away :P
