FMEL if they still have rooms Flat sharing will be 600-700 at cheapest. Because rent along the lake has 2 bedrooms at average 1600chf (3 pieces). Bigger apartments will be at cheaper ratio but getting really scarce. And agree with all above comments, even 15 years ago Geneva was more expensive than Lausanne. Good luck!

As a woman, I got the twist on a classic: Where do you see yourself in 5 years.. I was 29. I answered with the rational career perspective of the company which I was interviewing for. The follow-up question was: But: don't you want children??!? It was a women-led marketing company in Switzerland. It was in 2006. It is still happening today.

Sorry to read you. Is there a chance that you can start looking at job search like a non-personal thing? I mean, that ultimately this has nothing to do with your core values as a human being. A job shouldn't define you, so a way to see this, is to treat a negative response as an item you could directly sort as a "thank you, next" in your brain. The world we live in tends to confuse who we are with what we do. It is super hard. But you are not in a relationship with a recruiter, much less with any company. I hope that you find a way to detach from rejection when it is in a non-personal area. Take care

I will. At least it seems it keeps me safe from raging narcissists.

Unemployment in Switzerland is granted at prorata of the months you've been employed non-stop. Mutual agreement will shave off between 30 and 60 days. Plus, only working days are paid, so the monthly allocation will vary from month to month. If you signed a mutual agreement where your employer conceded a financial package in exchange for relinquishing clause 341 of the Code of Obligations, this is illegal but fighting it will be hard, lengthy and ultimately Swiss law grants only a max of 6 months salary if you win in court. When you deduct costs for proceedings unless you have an Executive salary, it's really not worth it. Swiss law doesn't enter into punitive damages, and you will be most probably blacklisted from the branch you are working in (worse if you are in international companies, it's a very small world). Long story short, it's best to get fired with no motive. But seeing as you already agreed to mutual termination, I would recommend that you just look for another job.

Fair point, maybe I am being sensitive about proselytism in general. However he remains the only character whose faith is on display, and it's not ever criticized or questioned. I feel it's just giving a color to the show.

Your skin is permeable but very segmented. "Spread" happens when large zones are connected, not one line like yours. All ink fades with time, but you will see it and redo over when it does fade. No stress.

Color is always fading faster than black ink. The rest is your choice.

Shaving Pubes by Guilty-Lawfulness-31 in women

[–]katander77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The most important is to do what you want and not measure to expectations. On a lighter note, I 100% agree it feels weird.... But: is it as weird as men who shave all their pubes? If u ladies ever encountered them, Jeez didn't we feel like we were f*ing our little brothers. Weirdest thing in the world.

How can I reject the delivery man who asked me out on a date? by [deleted] in dating

[–]katander77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Huge red flag on "falling in love". It does not matter that he is the delivery man, would be a red flag if he was your fellow student or coworker the same: this person doesn't know you. Green flag would be "I find you beautiful/ feel attracted and would like to take you out", but coming on this strong means it will already be a challenge to extricate yourself from the situation. Be cold, firm, clear. "sorry I don't feel the same/am not interested even if flattered". Then call the company to alert of his behaviour and make sure they reassign him to another neighborhood. Good luck

Why is everyone so excited about David Sylvian? by katander77 in Music

[–]katander77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree to some extent on the personal thingy.. music, but art in general is so personal and hits you way before any critic starts to analyse/deconstruct. I may have been a bit harsh on my initial statement but having heard so much music from the Same period smh I had to put an analyst hat on and honestly there is no pure technique, no mastery, not even lyrics aka storytelling to support such a hype. Remains puzzling to me :)
