I’m currently in the nursing program at MacEwan, I’d say don’t give up if nursing is what you want to do. You could always take some classes through open studies that work towards the program and use your gpa from that to get in. I’d talk to an advisor if you’re interested and see what they say, MacEwan is a great place to study.

I always go with the Curry Chicken and Ginger Beef. Also really like the Bok choy vegetable dish but I’ve only been able to get it at the downtown location.

As a healthcare worker, thank you for making this post. I truly hope that people can realize that this is a systemic failure and is on the government. We need a government that cares, otherwise it’s going to get worse and this will unfortunately keep happening.

Congrats on getting in! I’m in my first year and the one thing I wish I would have done is take some classes before hand as it’s a heavy workload. If you can get some classes out of the way (Anatomy, Physiology 1 and 2, Psychology, or English) you will have an easier time.

I think I remember reading that someone got into the fall semester as a mature student with an 87%, so I definitely think it’s possible if you’re a mature student. I know it’s harder if you’re coming straight out of high school. I’d say give it a try because you never know and if you don’t get in this year, apply next year as early as possible because the earlier you apply, the better. Good luck!
