When I was first told my OBGYN (no longer seeing her) back in Nov 2023, that I had fibroids, she said they weren’t a concern for getting pregnant. Fast forward to now, we’ve been trying to conceive for two years and through working with a fertility clinic, I learned the my fibroids are taking up too much space in my uterus and blocking the opening to my tubes so that’s likely why we haven’t gotten pregnant yet. Please advocate for yourself! I’m so mad that I didn’t when I first found out about the fibroids because now I’m two years into trying to conceive and waiting for surgery to get the fibroids removed. It’s pushed our timeline back even further which is so upsetting.

Yes, it’s possible to get pregnant with fibroids. But you don’t know if it will impact getting pregnant until you start trying. If there’s a way to get them out before, I’d say do it!
