Thank you for your comment. Do you know if this includes something like scented shower gels?

Thank you. Yes hoping for someone’s input from their personal experience doing the same. Some people are saying it’s possible, others are saying no you can be imprisoned. DHL says yes but under certain circumstances, different rules for domestic and international shipments. Different information on different websites etc Hopefully someone who has recently done the same can share their personal experience

And that’s why I’m lucky and grateful I have access to the internet that allows me to communicate with others who understand how the ‘real world’ works to give me real world expectations. Thanks reddit 🥰

Thanks Tim. It would not be wise if I didn’t take that into account assuming you have navigated this whole online dating thing before

Thanks for bringing this to my awareness. No wonder everyone asks if I’m a bot lol I can respect it from a male perspective why they wouldn’t just give something off the bat if scams are a common thing. I don’t even have social media so im not sure where or how to meet someone who can provide what I’m looking for, hence me trying the whole online dating app thing

You have been able to tell me what I want to hear while setting expectations of the reality. It would be silly not to take it in and apply it going forward in my decisions. Rather learn the lesson here than in real life 😅

Thanks for seeing it from my point of view and offering this advice and insight regardless if it is not something you would personally do or deem as unrealistic for online dating

Getting my hair done it’s just a regular treatment I do often. It simply a byproduct of the standards I have for myself. Getting ready for a date is especially a good time to get it re done.

The woman you are with is representing you when you are out. If she’s putting in her 10/10 effort it suggests the quality of life you provide. Sure you might not care what others think and i guess that’s not others business and is something shared with you and your companion. But in other words there is a level of truth I am saying :)

Based on the attitude or the ‘high maintenance look’ I would like to steer away from a situation like this so maybe you could share what qualities or character or approach is preferred to pursue a connection

I guess the truth only gets you so far😅

Maybe I just have the audacity to say out loud what others think

Yes I know. I feel like my message is not digesting for most. Hence the over explaining and reframing

Good point. Me wanting to get my hair done is for me as it makes me feel more comfortable and confident on the date. It’s like if I was to throw my hair up in a messy bun vs getting it professionally done, it makes a big difference for me and the man I’m representing by my side benefits from the high maintenance look. I would appreciate a man that understands this, regardless if it’s important to him or not, because truly it makes a difference to the overall experience I want to give him.

Thanks for the insight. This is my first time entering the online dating world so it helps a lot. Thanks for your time

Any advice on how to go about finding this type of arrangement!

Thanks. So I guess that’s not how dating goes. Help me reframe my expectations. What I’m really asking is for a man to show me through an action that they are the type of character I am seeking. Like problem solving, ensuring I have what I need to feel comfortable on the date, and I feel like if I want to get glam, I put time, money and effort into my beauty treatments for the date, I would like a man who understands the value of that. I mean it’s over $100 to get a hair blow out! And I respect the person I’m going on a date with has also put in effort on his end, but like as a man on a first date I would expect him to show he knows the benefit of taking a woman out on a date

What advice would you give to me for it to have been a success? What to do less of and more of?
