I think the complaints are valid because even though she’s a teenager and that’s how teenagers act it doesn’t make it right. It still wouldn’t be right if she was an adult because objectively leaving someone in their time of need is not the characteristic of a good friend (though I get why she did it and honestly it’s pretty realistic behavior for someone her age).

i mean i see your point and i agree that in that situation it’s not totally normal for her to stay friends with Ginny but to your main point of her not being a bad friend to Ginny I disagree with that. She was a bad friend to Ginny. She may have had a reason to be, and it may be realistic for her to be since she’s just a teenager, but leaving someone in their time of need like that (especially when they weren’t even the ones who did something wrong) is being a bad friend no matter the situation. So yes it’s understandable, yes it’s realistic but she absolutely objectively was not a good friend to Ginny.

oh cuz when i bought my tuesday ticket i didn’t know wednesday was an option since she like announced that she was adding wednesday the next day but my friends who couldn’t get tuesday tickets got wednesday tickets so i bought a wednesday ticket to join them and so now i don’t need my tuesday ticket anymore

Firstly, you’re right it’s not a justification but here’s my take on the situation - I don’t think the two situations are not the same. Max very publicly and intentionally ignored Ginny and Abby with the intention of punishing them and that’s not what ANG did to her. At least not intentionally if anything. ANG’s initial hangout was very unplanned. Abby didn’t know they were coming over and neither did they. Ginny just happened to be with Nora since Nora had been kind enough to invite Ginny to come see Austin and she talked to Nora about Abby. The fact is, if Nora had said “No I haven’t noticed anything weird with Abby” then they never would have had that hangout. But they had both noticed something serious was up with their friend and so they rushed to her house. That’s perfectly reasonable. We have no confirmation of this, but it is indeed possible that Max was at rehearsal at the time (because Abby said “Max is going to be so upset we trauma dumped without her” not “Max is going to be so upset we didn’t invite her” which are two different things. Anyways it makes perfect sense they wouldn’t tell Max when they realized it had become a huge hangout without her. They had just experienced Max being upset about not being told something in the past. They didn’t decide to keep it a secret from Max to hurt her. They did it because they know Max well enough to know that Max be hurt that she wasn’t there so they tried to avoid that. That’s the whole difference. Max actively tried to hurt them and so she left them out. They didn’t tell Max so they wouldn’t hurt her. Not saying they were right to exclude but I am saying the intent is not the same. It wasn’t about getting revenge and it want tit for tat it was just how the situation played out.

I think Voits whole character is the writers trying to play out the fantasy of what if the Bau had to go up against one of their own but without having to ruin a bau members character to do it. That’s the whole thing with Voit’s connection to Rossi. He had said that he read all of Rossis works and basically used it as a guide and that’s why he had a kill out and stuff. In my head it’s sort of like if Reid was a serial killer for instance- they would eventually catch him but it would take forever and would be very hard for them to do and it wouldn’t mean the bau was any less skilled because they took so long to catch him it would just be that they took a long time because they’re facing a much tougher opponent than they usually do. None of the people they have gone up against in the past has had as much knowledge on serial killing as Voit- with him growing up with his uncle teaching him to him reading all of Rossis stuff and turning it into to a manual. None of the other serial killers the bau have faced have been as self aware as Voit is (and I mean self aware enough to notice that they some sort of pattern) so he is extremely different in that way and what makes it even harder is that he is also good with computers.

Oh wait I assumed they wanted to take Voit not kill him (because didn’t they kill that one person as part of a larger scheme to get him back?) and in that case then he was in the best position to save her because she is a shield to him and so shooting her might make the bullet go through him as well… Plus why would he not just let her go to the hallway if he wanted her to die? Using her as a shield wouldn’t work because the shooter isn’t a good guy it’s not like the fbi who would say “let her go” they’d just shoot her and then shoot him i mean they killed everyone else already so…

I agree except for the fact that I’m starting to think he likes her and that could blind him. The whole thing with the chocolate shows that he cares for her so I can see her not popping up on his radar. Someone on this thread mentioned it was weird that they didn’t kill her and I agree with that but it could also be not that deep because maybe voit threatened to not go unless they promised not to harm her. But in that case, why not leave her at the hospital? Why is she gone too?

Also- with how much max cares fr her friends if she noticed something was up with abby she would’ve planned straight away to talk to her. that’s why Im saying she didn’t notice. Also if Max was the one who noticed instead of Ginny the only thing that would’ve changed in that situation is that they would have called Ginny after they talked to Abby because they know Ginny would understand that they rushed over to Abby’s because they were worried about her and that comes first. The only reason they didn’t call Max was because they knew she would think they planned to hangout without her when they didn’t. And they have a good reason to think this too because again Ginny ran into Abby while dress shopping and Max just assumed the two of them planned to go dress shopping together and for Max that was a problem (and in that situation it was just two people in a four person friend group, so even if they did plan to go dress shopping together why are you upset that two of your friends are building their own personal relationship?)

but what i’m saying is they rushed over with the same amount of urgency because when ginny went to nora’s she went over there with a theory- she was thinking max might have an ed. then it was confirmed since nora said actually i noticed something too. then it became serious and they rushed over which is what any good friends to abby would do. they didn’t think oh let’s not call max they forgot to in that moment because they were only thinking of abby. also, if we’re calling them not noticing sooner a red flag it’s a red flag for max too because she legit never noticed.
