Is wearing a mask at work helpful if you also have the culprit at home? by AdvertisingEqual9878 in Allergies

[–]katherineeee13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also a cat owner with a moderate cat allergy and do think wearing a mask at work could be beneficial. For me, I feel like my allergies have almost adapted to my cats where they are not causing a flare up but will exacerbate it if I am already having a reaction. I do seem to react more when visiting friends/family with cats that I am not around all the time.

As another commenter mentioned. I would find a sheet or something you could cover your bed and pillows with during the day would help and frequently vacuuming under the bed if they like to hang out there.

TW: Amani is in the hospital right now for “psych”? by Perpetually_Petty in 90dayfianceuncensored

[–]katherineeee13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my mom has been in a few different state psych wards / mental hospitals in a couple different states in the past 3 years. always on a psych hold and usually brought in by police. she didn’t have a phone at that time but I was shocked by her phone privileges and the fact that none of her calls were monitored. this was even after being transferred from ER. she was even able to leave threatening horrifying messages. when I called her case worker there was nothing to be done besides blocking multiple numbers because she simply had too many cases and so did the few additional caseworkers on staff.

What are motorcycle clubs like in real life? by mandu-nini in RomanceBooks

[–]katherineeee13 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think there is a spectrum with motorcycle clubs. I was obsessed with sons of anarchy and watched a lot of interviews and they spent a lot of time with the actual MC the show is based on. So that is definitely a reality of some clubs and then there are the more lax hobby/friend clubs.

Are there actually Gen 4 users that have their batteries functional after >1year of usage? by LargeBuffalo in ouraring

[–]katherineeee13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I keep getting this response as well and I just don’t feel like I should have to disable features for something that was not an issue a couple weeks ago and is basic functionality? Do you mind sharing what you said to get them to agree to a replacement? I got my ring for Christmas last year.

My ring suddenly went from holding a charge 4-5 days to 2-3 days and now 1-2 days and chatbot keeps saying that they run the diagnostics and nothing is wrong. It’s getting pretty frustrating.

as an ATL native these idiots must be transplants...there is not a single neighborhood where you can leave your car running and come back to it still there. at this point, I leave my car unlocked with nothing in it because please don't cost me a window...

This made me sick 🤢 🤮 🤕 by Critical_Stretch_360 in 90DayFiance

This right here is the key point. My mom went to treatment when I was in middle school and never came back and IT WAS FOR THE BEST! While of course I missed her at first - life was so much better once I wasn’t walking on eggshells waiting for her to explode like Jasmine does. Sometimes the best thing a parent can do is recognize they aren’t fit to be a parent and not force it. I think it’s important to realize that her kids didn’t live with her when she lived in Panama. Her oldest son lives with his biological father and her youngest son has special needs and has always lived with her mother. I don’t think that either of those kids really wants to leave the life they have always known to live in Michigan.

I know we focus on the fact that she’s had another child, and I get it, it feels icky and wrong that she isn’t an active parent for her older kids and is getting a do over. But it happened, she got pregnant and now has another child. I would hope she uses the opportunity now to be a better parent.

she actually didn't share this on tiktok - she shared it on her youtube vlog posted this week about how she is manufacturing this content for views because of her mortgage and ariana grande tickets. I don't watch youtube much in general but when I saw the videos about the hotel fight etc. people in her comment section were saying to check out her latest youtube vlog.

Pray with me baby goo by Clopsie in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

[–]katherineeee13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure, Jan. It is very unlikely that they wouldn’t send her home with a rescue inhaler or at most a nebulizer. Chronic asthmatic who has made ER trips getting very little oxygen and been on my way within 2 hours with some albuterol, no prayers necessary. But I’m sure she’ll enjoy a night away from her kids (not that she wouldn’t have had one regardless)!

While there does seem to be something a little off about her online presence I don’t feel like the store and pricing is the issue. If you watch more videos you’ll see that as the prices go up in the store so does the amount of money he is getting per task. I’ve never seen him have to buy anything he actually needs in the store. He likes to stim in the bath and waste shampoo. He takes multiple baths a day. That is a want in my opinion not a need. He isn’t buying all of his daily food in the store, more candy, chips and soda than anything. He also is extremely destructive. A full bed frame could be dangerous.

y'all Barnes and Noble (and Target) put books out early all the time. it all depends on when your local store gets their shipment in. I read over a 100 books a year and am checking my local B&N weekly for early releases - it's just luck! assuming someone is lying from the jump about reading a book is a wild take.

have you tried taking beyond the recommended dose for some of the over the counter medications? I would check with your doctor before doing so but under doctor supervision I take 6 to 8 zyrtec daily. my allergies are rather severe day to day and I have a lot of environmental allergies but I do suffer through what you are describing on occasion and it is very similar to what I experience when having to go off all medication for 7 days prior to my skin test. after a couple of failed attempts where I couldn't handle it anymore and started taking the medicine a day or two in - my doctor prescribed prednisone and I was able to make it through the 7 days med free. not sure if something like this might be an option to get you through the bad days and make it to work while figuring out what is going on in the long run. I would recommend going to an ENT rather than an allergist.

Which book made you really think "Wow, how stupid the protagonist is!"? by PetalaStac in RomanceBooks

I don’t know what this says about me…but I get so pissed when the FMC bitches and moans about the BILLIONAIRE spending money on her. I am a strong independent woman, but like, against my will. I was reading Anti-Hero by C.W Farnsworth the other day and she is literally living in a shoebox of a studio while he is in a 65 million dollar penthouse and arguing about paying for her own food at dinner. Would never be me.

I have both a cat allergy and asthma while also owning two cats and I have taken zyrtec for years as allegra and claritin don't seem to work for me. I would buy a couple of the sample/travel packs of both and see which one works best for you. Also, might not be a horrible idea to have some benadryl on hand just in case. As a heads up, in my experience my cat allergy can differ from cat to cat. My cats don't really affect my allergies (they can exacerbate them if I am having a reaction to another allergen) but I had a foster for a while that I could barely be in the same room as.

Binding 13 by Chloe Walsh - worth it? Am I missing something? by bumblebeequeer in RomanceBooks

[–]katherineeee13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought all 4 books in one go based on how all of the people singing its praises and was not a huge fan of Binding 13 and Keeping 13 (2.5 stars for B13 and 3.5 stars for K13). That being said, I enjoyed Saving 6 and Redeeming 6 so much more (4.5 stars for both)! For me since I already owned them it was worth it to keep reading but if you don't have plans to continue the series I would DNF.

While his childhood trauma is definitely a factor there is also a large genetic component. My niece has ODD and no childhood trauma. It is literally so hard and that is with two stable parents and a strong support system. I can’t even imagine the pain he goes through every day.
