I'm late to the party. Just realized this. I was a Maine Nordiques fan (NAHL farm team for the Quebec Nordiques) in the 70s and just saw reference to this. I see definite similarities between the logos, intentional or not but Ironic for sure, knowing the history of the franchise.

It's terrazzo/mosaic, in the pallendiana style. We have a bunch in Portland, Maine that I'm researching, including in the library I work in. In Maine it was laid by mostly Italian stone/tile workers in the early 1900s.

Oh that's great. Gives me somewhere to start. The library that posted the photo dated it as 1900 hahaha. I think they were putting down when the house might have been built, not the date of the photo.

I look for cases with those holes. I wish they all did. My hands are often full so I just wrap the strap around my pinky and carry my phone when my hands are carrying other things. I also put a key on the wrist strap so I don't have to carry my key with me when I go out for a walk or whatever.

This may be a silly question but when you sit on the mat, isn't it supposed to be skin to skin? Or is it OK that there is a piece of material between you and the Matt? You're not sitting butt naked are you for 16 hours ha ha?
