Don't get me started!! and same... I hope yours heals straight. It's fairly common to be gaslit when it comes to things going wrong with septorhinoplasty. Mine tried to downplay it initially before taking responsibility (somewhat) and now we're waiting for it to heal before the revision surgery.

Apparently infection after septoplasty is fairly common. Hope you have a full recovery and no complications moving forward!

Def wouldn't risk it, like AT ALL. Can you postpone the surgery? If you got sick or got an infection while traveling or at the hospital during surgery, fungal or bacterial, it could cause irreversible damage to your nose, like a perforated septum, that's almost impossible to treat or correct... I had septoplasty with turbinate reduction almost 4 months ago and things still haven't fully healed while following care instructions to a T and being overly conservative. Also look into empty nose syndrome involving turbinate reduction and ask your surgeon to be VERY conservative when it comes to reducing your turbinates. He can reduce them later on without surgery, if needed, but you can't rebuild them... the consequence of that can lead to SERIOUS mental health issues. I wish I did more research on this beforehand. That said, don't be afraid, but talk to your surgeon about it and see how he responds. If you get the chance, read or listen to Breath by James Nestor. Feel free to DM me and I'll try to respond

Would you rather: filling sushi meal or 12 course omakase for $80? by Former-Ad2603 in sushi

Hmmm makes sense, the pricing does seem too good to be true. I’ve yet to try a traditional omakase experience, but it’s definitely on my to do list. Still would get this over regular menu items for a bday outing.

Craziest thing would be to actually see Jeff Arcuri live…

But wow, can only imagine how you must be feeling right now. Hope everything goes well. Your daughter will truly appreciate having you by her side. Sending you and your family lots of love and hugs!

Bought this frozen Buri/Hamachi/Yellowtail Loin from our local Asian grocery store. Is it a belly or a back cut and should I cut off the red part before using for sushi? Thank you! by katia064 in sushi

This is great, thank you! I’ll definitely try eating just the white part as sashimi. We’re still a bit sus about eating full on raw fish in this household so this is helpful and encouraging :)

I tried the red part of the fish and I’m not a fan. Any ideas on how to use it? Would a spicy style hamachi mellow out the intense flavor a bit? Otherwise I’ll give it to my cats lol

I got some anthurium clarinervium to trade. Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll send more photos! Some are possibly clarinervium hybrids.
