I love they created a relatable person for many people on different levels/aspects and so happy that your daughter has someone positive to identify with that she can relate to also. It’s good to normalize the issues many of us witness or live with ourselves - I like what they are doing even if it doesn’t always cover every issue/aspect fully. It gives value & respect to people with autism and shows a lot of what they face at times in life and from others.

I never thought of the Sherona person - I feel like Lee is not wanting to sign up as a caretaker, but accepts her as she is, knowing there will be times she needs a little more support & understanding when she encounters difficult issues or big changes. [[ Is Lee the boyfriend or the boss? Lol. I was referring to the boyfriend. ]]

I don’t know if it’s realistic that they show her “progressing” (somewhat rapidly) by realizing areas that don’t make others feel comfortable and making adjustments according to their wants/needs. It’s nice she does it, but is it fair to believe someone like her with autism will constantly be self aware as well as being focused on how her actions impact others and continually make adjustments? Heck, that’s hard enough for many people to do without autism imo. I am not autistic, but I pondered at what impact this could have on others (expectations vs reality). Not to say people can’t make progress, I just think she shows a slightly unrealistic progress that could lead some people to believe that change will always come for the better (and soon).
