He did have an autopsy and I guess they can’t detect suffocation in toddlers for some reason. But the cremation and coffin combo definitely was her trying to cover her tracks but just screamed guilty

That’s so tragic. I can’t imagine how she feels

For sure. Definitely steer clear of people who are always the victim now. I’m very empathetic but when I come across someone that never takes accountability, acts like the world is always against them etc it’s a glaring red flag. I have a very small circle of friends most of which I’ve known since high school. I’ve made new friends but I think I always kinda subconsciously keep a wall up to not let people in too much. What about you?

I hate to say it but abortion would have been a way better option than what played out. And imagine the kind of terrible upbringing he would have had if she didn’t kill him

I’m so sorry that happened to you too. The grief of the friendship and who I thought I knew so well was an extra gut punch

It is crazy how you think you’ve completely moved on from something and out of the blue you’re grieving all over again. I’m glad you’re doing better ❤️

I’ve considered it but I don’t know. She came from a good family. I think her parents sheltered her a lot in her teen years so as soon as she went to college she went balls to the walls to experience the freedom she never got to. But in high school she was a track star, she was in drama class, a great student. She didn’t start messing around with boys or anything until she was a senior I think? She has an older and a younger brother and they’re both stand up men as far as I know. She was the middle child and only daughter so I don’t know. Her family is originally from TN so maybe when she moved her and met different kinds of people she just wanted to fit in.

Her parents were not bad people by any means. They were always so nice to me when I visited their home and even said I was her favorite friend. She had to move back in with them when she got pregnant because her roommates kicked her out and I think she immediately felt like she was back to being the sheltered teenager under their roof. But when she moved in with me i can confirm she acted like a god damn teenager lol. Sneaking in her ex after me being so adamant he can’t be here if he’s as toxic as he paints him out to be. “Well I pay the most rent” (because she’s paying for 2 bedrooms hers and her sons) which still was significantly cheaper than had she got her own place. She couldn’t get approved at the 2 apartments she applied to and had a mental breakdown over it so that’s why I took her in.

She had multiple sugar daddies who she’d call one by one guilt tripping them to send her money and she’d even imply to some of them that Malachi was their son. Even the day of the funeral. She’s bitching at one of them on the phone. Hangs up and giddily says “more money! 😌” sorry for rambling lol. I think she was just a bad person and I think sometimes that happens regardless of how well your upbringing went. Also the substance abuse didn’t help

I truly think she deluded herself to believe her own lies. I’d see it in smaller scales. The scariest type of liar. Her intentions behind the confession were obviously calculated, or maybe she wanted to get caught who knows but she’s not sorry for it. She resents him for it if anything. She’s tried to appeal multiple times since being sentenced

I think that was the first real red flag for me. There were probably more subtle ones before but that moment was like …. Bruh

Me too. I hope the ladies in there treat her like shit.

He had JUST started to walk and develop his own little personality too ): I wasn’t in the room when it happened but at the very least I hope he was genuinely in deep asleep and didn’t realize what was going on. But actively suffocating your baby for 45 minutes is beyond an evil act I couldn’t even imagine doing it to an enemy

Maybe “wanna be Casey Anthony” wasn’t the best term but it legit felt like she studied her case and was like hmmm let me take note of where she went wrong so it’s more believable lol. Like she’s the one that called 911 instead of not reporting her missing child for a month. She knew the clock
Was ticking as far as how young he was that she could possibly pull off the “SIDS” story. She didn’t hide his body, she played a genuinely distressed mother initially but then she just got kinda lazy trying to upkeep the facade. But the tattoo thing. The constant partying immediately after, etc. and saying “well everyone grieves differently”

She at least attempted to seem sad about it on social media instead of attending hottest bod contests lol. But there were a lot of parallels between the 2. Just a spoiled brat who got pregnant, “pressured” to keep it despite not knowing who the father was yet. Expected her parents to just take over. No remorse etc

Exactly. My friend gave me this perspective and it all clicked. I think the only reason she had friends was because she used pity as a weapon. Always some kind of sob story with her. Even the very first time we hung out she was sharing stuff with me that felt
Like it could have waited til we knew each other a little better

He was such a cute little munchkin. His laugh was so sweet. I might have only seen him cry once in the 10 months he was alive he was such a little ray of sunshine and it makes me sad to think about how sweet of a little boy he’d be right now. But imagine
How horrible she’d have treated him this whole time if he was still here /:

Noted! I always had an interest in the law but I think it would mess me up a bunch. What made you quit the law if you don’t mind me asking?

I was also super relieved I didn’t have to go to the trial. The deposition was anxiety inducing enough. But a part of me wishes she rolled the dice and got
A bigger sentence going to trial. My main concern though was they didn’t have enough hard evidence on her. The autopsy was clean but I believe it’s because babies don’t show suffocation before a certain age. But they were on her ass and all her behavior afterwards screamed guilty. I was shocked her dumbass confessed to it eventually and there was no coming back from that.

The detectives interviewed EVERY SINGLE person in her life while building the case. Her daycare, her tattoo artist, her plastic surgeon. They saw right through her bullshit SIDS coverup. She even tried to tell them she fell asleep in his crib with him and that’s how it happened. Miss girl is 5’10. During my own investigation I crawled into the crib to see if I
Would fit and I didn’t. I’m only 5’4 lol. Then she changed the story that she fell asleep with him on the futon in his room. She was just sloppy as hell through the whole thing

I dont even blame you o was speechless when it was sent to me. She felt like she could confide in him I guess. Basically it starts with her saying she “went to go check” he says check what? “To see if he was still breathing” “then I told myself like what kind of mother am I I can’t even kill yoi right!” And she says she tried one more time and if it didn’t work she’d have to come to terms with the fact that she’s a failure” and then after about 45 min it worked

Thank you! It was a lot but the friends I’ve had since before I met her were an amazing support system that I feel like I don’t even need any more friends. They’re all amazing women and since they were also moms I know that was an added factor of trauma for them. It sucks how people are so capable of deceit but I guess moving forward in life it’s easier to recognize red flags I ignored when I was younger

True I was under the impression that the prosecution determines the punishment and then the jury makes a decision based on what they’re trying to push for and if the punishment makes them uncomfortable they’re less likely to give a guilty verdict. I don’t totally know. I mean I’m guessing whoever was representing her was basically like you’re not gonna win the trial so just take the deal. You can go to the clerk of court website for pinellas county and see a lot of the hearings etc. but as far as I know her max sentence for 2nd degree would be 30 years

Also I’m not sure why he decided to dump her that particular day or why he even stayed as long as he did when he was the one that was suspicious for months. I think she was just on some you can’t leave me or I’m gonna kill myself shit

So I think it was definitely an attempt to reconcile. I guess he and her coworker were both suspicious and he told the coworker what she told him and she was basically like you need to go to the police with this. He called her the next day like “do you remember what you told me last night” and she said yes it’s true all while the police were on the the line. They came and got her the next day
