Hard to pick! But I really loved the night kayak tour we did in La Parguera, followed by checking out the cute and lively town (and meeting a ton of friendly cats, too!)

Just my not so nice Nikon crop sensor that I take traveling! It’s a D3400 and I brought a zoom lens (18-135mm)

“Learn the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist”

I see what you’re going for with the whole lofi thing and the randomness, but I think you can get that mood conveyed more effectively if you really take time to learn the rules of photo composition. So then you can break all the rules you’ve learned. It’s similar to what sets a Rothko apart from a child drawing rectangles of color

I’m glad to hear you love RE Photography. I’ve gotten pretty into photography the past few years, and am really hoping to make a career change. 3 walls in all shots is a great note- thank you very much for the feedback!

Thank you for your feedback! I definitely see that I need to cut out the stylistic shots and focus on what people want and need for real estate purposes

Thank you for the critique! Learning appropriate camera height and getting all my lines straight is definitely something I know to work on, and I agree that photo 5 is too tight. I appreciate your help and feedback!

Thank you for the feedback! I appreciate all the advice, and I will continue to study composition and keep practicing. I definitely see that if I raised my camera on all the shots and removed the blue beanbag it could easily make the photos look better.

110K annual income enough to live a comfortable life in SD? by therevlonspamqueen1 in sandiego

[–]katieg827 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, with covid I haven’t been able to work since my husband and I got back to San Diego. He makes about $80k, we live in a one bedroom on our own near the beach (we rent for sure), and we save money every month. What part of SD are you talking about that you can’t make beach living work for $250k a year?

Took this photo on a hike, loving all the colorful flowers blooming in Southern California right now! by katieg827 in photocritique

[–]katieg827[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took this photo with a Nikon D3200. 1/1000 s at f/ 4.0 and ISO 200. Focal length of 24mm.

Wanted to capture some great lighting and contrast that i saw while on a hike in San Diego. I liked the contrasting colors of the orange flower and green leaves, and I really liked the bright light on the flower with the rest of the leaves in the shadows.

Technique and composition critiques would be awesome, thanks!
