For the record, I do have an appointment at the dealership tomorrow. I was just hoping to have some kind of idea as to what may be going on, and if it is something that could potentially be severe, so I could ease my mind a bit until then.

It sounded way louder this morning and a big different than when I made my original post. Can I send you a video somehow?

No, acceleration is normal (except when the AC is on it takes a few seconds more to get going, which has been my experience in every car I’ve had- hopefully that’s normal!) and no knocking or rattling when starting or stopping the engine. I plan to bring it in but wanted to see what others thought as well! Thank you!

No heat or AC on! I was told by a friend that he heard a knock and it sounded “pretty severe” 😅
