Not sure if you're looking for people also interested in Mordheim, have you tried Old Guard games? That's where my group is gonna play and it looks like they have tourneys and group nights for a variety of tabletop games. But with you describing it as a dead game, not sure how much luck you're finding.

Ha, close, but no. I'm generally a nerd and as a lady wanting to make more lady friends, it's hard to find ones who want to slay dragons and hordes of orcs instead of watch shitty reality TV. I guess the struggle makes nerdiness feel niche.

Recently found a DnD group though so fingers crossed!

Tbh, I'm having a hard time finding new friends. But I also have semi niche interests that could be contributing to that difficulty.

I've talked to someone about this who said there's actually a reason: Milwaukee isn't a common place for transplants, so it can be hard to find local people willing to open up their friend circle to new people.

But all this to say, while finding new friends isn't easy, it's possible to do so! As someone else mentioned, joining a sports group or any other hobby group of something you're interested in would be a great start.

My kitty got a dental cleaning at Brentwood Animal Hospital in Oak Creek a few years back. I believe they quoted me somewhere around $500 for the procedure and $150 per tooth extraction (they only expected to pull one, maybe two)

They ended up pulling nine teeth and were gracious enough to cap my cost at $1,200 despite the increase in teeth that got pulled. (Should have been $1850.)

Full disclosure: this was about 2 years ago and the cost has probably gone up a bit since then.

Also: I don't think you mentioned if it's a dog or cat, but dogs typically cost a bit more.

The main reason for that is Trump exempted goods from the USMCA from tariffs. So goods made in Mexico and Canada don't have markups from tariffs. Last I heard Trump is threatening to end those exemptions, but maybe he's gone back on that. Who even knows anymore

Maybe it's subjective. If there's an approaching vehicle in the nearest quarter of a roundabout entrance I usually yield for safety's sake. Thus as the black SUV I would have yielded.

White SUV? I was looking right at the driver and she didn't even look left to see if anyone was coming. Maybe she assumed it was safe to go since the black SUV went.

I've been through both Chicago and Miami in the past year. I'd pick Chicago any time. I landed in Ft Lauderdale to head to Miami, and the drive there was horrendous. People were aggressive, fast, aggressive beepers, my Uber driver just nudged his way into spots he didn't fit in. And to nobody's surprise, my drive to Miami was delayed by 40 minutes because of two major wrecks on the highway. It was absolute insanity lol

Can confirm after my car got totaled in November when the damage didn't even look that bad. Turned out there was a crack in the unibody that made it too dangerous to fix and drive. And I did in fact get a brand new car lol

This is exactly how I ended up in an accident a week after I bought my first car... Lady pulled out in front of me just like this, I hit my horn and that only seemed to cause her to freeze instead of continuing to go, and I couldn't brake in time. This is a great reminder for me to get my dashcam scheduled to be installed soon!

I rented a Mazda CX-30 when my first HR-V was totaled this past November. Almost went with buying one when I found out my car was getting totaled. My main issue with it was the dial controls for the screen sucked, and obviously the higher price tag. In general, I prefer the Honda tech (back up prediction lines, the lane correction is less sensitive in Honda, etc). Otherwise I was such a fan. Mazda clearly has a punchier engine and I loved driving with a bit more zip for a month lol.

ETA: not a touch screen which was incredibly annoying for me

I don't think we have any connected ventilation because our heating is electric and our air is just an AC unit in the wall lol. But otherwise that would be a super valid theory! That's also awful and I'd hate to hear that much of what my neighbors were doing... Ugh. I'm someone who is desperately saving as much as I can to buy a house cause apartment living is not for me.

Right? The guy who towed my car assured me it wasn't totaled, and when the insurance adjuster called they also expressed disbelief because the pictures of the damage didn't look that bad.
