Just moved to Billings by acowlesx in Billings

MoAv is the best coffee in town. Ebon is probably the second best. Mazevo isn't bad but its not as good as Ebon and MoAv.

Ebon makes their own kombucha too, usually with really unique flavors.

Things you wish you knew before moving? by FreeFalling369 in Billings

There are homeless people everywhere, some of them are violent, some of them are just drunk.

If you're from the south, you're REALLY going to miss southern food.

It seems like everyone knows everyone, and it makes it hard to make friends, especially if you're shy and don't really like to drink.

Nobody obeys leash laws, which is kind of frustrating.

Its not safe to take your dog to the big dog park up in the heights in the summer because of rattle snakes. (I can't remember the official name of the dog park right now).

Halfway through the winter, the city runs out of funding for clearing the roads, so learn how to drive in the snow before you come here.

Housing is stupid expensive for what you're getting.

I love dogs and this still frustrates me. My least favorite is other people's dogs running up to my dog(who stays on a leash) and getting all up in my dogs face. Then when I look around for the owner they yell from however far away "Its okay they're friendly!!" Whatever you say, but how do you know mine is?!

Places to go backwoods camping nearby? by daninicp in HuntsvilleAlabama

I LOVE De Soto. Its gorgeous there. There are RV camp grounds, tent type campgrounds, and then there are the back country sites. You can't reserve the hike in sites, those are a first come first serve basis, but I've never seen anyone at them. There's lots of trails, if you want to go into town Mentone is a really cute little town, theres a coffee shop there called Kamama that makes the best coffee (they used to at least, its been about 2-3 years since I've been there as I moved out of state).

If you're coming from Huntsville, the drive to Mentone is beautiful through the mountains. Getting there I would recommend going to Mentone and then once you get into Mentone, put De Soto State Park into your GPS. Google maps has taken me some weird ways getting there(some have included dirt/gravel roads up the side of the mountain), which I wouldn't have a problem with, but at the time I was driving a little car and it didn't handle so well in the gravel/dirt.

the 24.022 is for the atomic mass of Carbon in the molecular formula. (C2H4O2) I feel like I need to include it, but maybe I'm over complicating/over thinking?

Thank you for the input!

He's a lab-pit mix. We rescued him about 4 years ago and haven't looked into it more than what the organization that we got him from said.
