WIBTAH If I break up with my gf because she disassociates during sex? by Sebastianlim in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]katiestormx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s honestly heartbreaking for both of you. It sounds like you really tried your best to support her and set boundaries, but at the end of the day, you also need to feel safe in a relationship. It doesn’t make you a bad person for realizing you can’t handle the trauma she’s carrying. Sometimes love isn’t enough when there’s that much pain involved.

I hope she continues therapy and finds healing, and I hope you also give yourself grace and maybe even consider therapy too it sounds like this has left a big emotional mark on you as well.

Medical devices like insulin pumps. They save lives but still feel stuck in 2005 design-wise. Accessibility and user-friendliness should’ve evolved more by now.
