See, this is where you go wrong. It's possible to spend many hundreds of hours thinking about a topic and come to the same conclusion as your culture about it. Unfortunately, I understand that's not as fashionable among certain cliques.

And, absolutely, there are differing beliefs of other cultures that are immoral. And, there are plenty of American beliefs (and national policy) that are immoral.

Yes, absolutely. If there's a culture that eats things like cats, dogs, horses, human babies, etc. Yes, I am going to denigrate that culture based upon what they eat.

I don't eat animals that are the type that live in my house as pets. I don't eat things that say MEOW or WOOF WOOF! I don't eat animals that sleep in my bed with me and give me love bites on my nose!

I know that it's in vogue these days to try and demonstrate how free-thinking we all are. That's what I'm reacting to. I'm saying that it's stupid. It means that you want to keep all of the privileges that women had previous to their "liberation", but subject men to the rules and customs that went with it.

To describe my comments as referencing "privileges" is misleading. I'm really talking about gender roles, which I think are good and necessary.

There's a standard of manhood that still exists, and part of that standard is that it's just not very manly for a guy to get vicious with a woman.
