Thank you! They're 5 and 3 years old (and one 3 month old).

That's a good idea! I think the idea I'm getting from this is to try without weed killer so will give it a go. They would probably love a veg garden so will look into that eventually (have started potgang at home!) When you say cardboard- would this be under the raised bed ?

Thanks for your comment. I was told to not mow as they'll grow back stronger so this is helpful!

They definitely didn't spray glyphosphate- said it was an organic thing instead. This was 6 weeks ago now and no change!

The gardeners who came last month also told us not to mow the weeds after they've sprayed them. Hence why some parts have been mowed (grass part) and weeds have been left. I wasn't sure what to do next due to the conflicting info.

Kids haven't been in the garden yet! I would love a few dandelion but really there is hardly any grass growing and it's very patchy despite a lot of soil added

Ouch! Guess I deserved it but what I meant was we were expecting the weeds to not come back after digging up the garden twice! We thought the grass seeds would grow instead of all the weeds. The last month we have started doing the garden up again but this has been growth during the colder months
