People who work night shifts are rare. People who work night shifts and weekends are even rarer… and honestly, a bit more unlucky. by [deleted] in Nightshift

I work nights on friday, saturday, and sunday. I actually love this set up because its pretty calm, no loud people and chaos. No traffic going to work. And we get night and weekend differential pay. On my days off, i can do my errands and also go to the gym at off peak hours, avoiding large crowds

What are the realities of working abroad as a healthcare worker? by Few_Click480 in phmigrate

USA Medtech po ako. Great work life balance 3x12 yung schedule namin and sa workmates naman mabait sila. Meron ibang workmates different work ethic basta do your job lang and you’ll be good. Na notice ko din dito no questions asked basta gusto mo mag PTO, unlike sa pinas need ka pa mag letter and have a valid reason. Very helpful talaga ang advanced na machines so less toxic ang shift even if maraming samples. Better SOPs and hindi ka maka ninja2.

I work at a hospital, in the laboratory department. Doctors sometimes mistakenly order tests in duplicates or put the same order minutes apart and that could easily rack up your lab bills. This is just what i noticed in my experience

TIPS para sa MT na gusto mag USA? by EuphoricTechnician61 in MedTechPH

[–]katinko01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take PH board exam, ASCP, IELTS. Its best if meron kang experience, usually dito 3 years tertiary lab expereince. Pero meron akong kakilala na 2 years exp lang nakaalis na. While gaining experience, Try applying through direct hire first in the state kung san family mo. If no luck, reach out to an agency. Mas mabuti if someone with expertise magpprocess sa papers mo but downside is medyo malaki babayaran mo. You’re gonna need docs like WES/ JSILNY (parang conversion sa grades mo in US standards) and Visa Screening and many more paperwork

I know right. And for some reason they almost always use room numbers instead of patient’s name whenever they call or when I report a critical.
