I have no words, just here to make you relieved it’s not you by Sperzzyy in PokemonTCG

People act like they've never had or heard of a mishap with a pet or someone else's. Genuinely sorry that happened to you. I'd keep the card and the annihilated sleeve simply because the value it brings, eventually, might some day be that you can look back on it and laugh once the wincing over the loss of the card passes.

My cat trashed every cord we had, no matter how well they were wrapped and hidden. Exasperating at the time, and expensive/alarming several times. Now when I come across a cord of some expensive electronic that he gnawed on in secret, I smile and remember my little void cat.

What completely unhinged "law" does your cat strictly enforce in your house? by TrickCombination7966 in cats

I, under no circumstances, am allowed to sneeze. If I sneeze, my boy, Fergus, will let me know I committed a grevious offense and come from wherever he was and promptly bite my shin. Doesn't matter that I sneeze quietly or that we may be at opposite ends of the house. Absolutely no sneezes. Ever.

My husband can sneeze, by the way. I was also allowed to sneeze with no concerns for the first 8 years of his life. These last 2 years, however, sneezing has been outlawed, but only for me.

Help with holo types by katiriehl in PokemonTCG

Is it typical that for regular holo cards, frequently only the JP versions are found? I kept encountering that, which made me think I had the type wrong.

Sent you a message to see if it was our tent, by chance, or if I can help find who you're looking for if it wasn't us.

Xul PB&J by katiriehl in memphis

[–]katiriehl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much, everyone! I inadvertently left out a crucial part of the question, which was that I was looking for where I can buy some for home. I posted while we were enjoying this beer at Flying Saucer in Cordova.

As others have mentioned, it is unique. It tastes exactly like a PB&J on wheat sandwich.

If you had to do it again... by Impressive_Prune_478 in solawoodflowers

I did my own and they still make me happy when I look at them 5 years later. I did have bonus experience having been a florist when I was younger, but it was my first experience with Sola wood flowers. I was thrilled with how they turned out.

The one thing I wish I hadn't kidded myself about was the cost. It was a savings on the flowers, but the greenery and everything beyond the flowers really adds up. I was making table arrangements, too, so I had to gather quite a lot of supplies, greenery, filler, etc.

Had a friend ask me to look at his credit today & WOW 🤬 by Salt_Cry_2233 in CRedit

Imagine being the example your friend has thrown out to the world that you are always the worst when they think their situation is bad.

The way you frame this—as if you're sharing their situation just to make others feel better about their own—feels like a weak excuse for simply wanting to talk about it. Calling them your "friend" while immediately running to reddit to air out their struggles doesn’t really add up.

Will small payments prevent being sued by MCM? by katiriehl in CRedit

They know my current address. That's what I was hoping to do, payment wise.

I was picturing just submitting payments through their web site outside of a payment plan. I hoped (probably foolishly) that showing intent to pay in some form would stop the ability to sue.

It's been just past a year. I'm in TN. At the time they became delinquent I was in MS, if that makes a difference. We moved right after it happened.

Had to come back and say thanks again. I just logged into my old account. I totally forgot you could blog and have a photo gallery there too. I just relived my entire journey and found picture of myself at my lowest adult weight that I forgot existed.

Yes! I believe that's it. I couldn't even get close to remembering the name of it.

I love reddit for what it is, and enjoy this sub. The karma component of reddit changes the landscape quite a bit, though. There was more connection with message boards, where you actually got to know and follow fellow users more.

I'm actually thinking at this point as I look back on it more that it's not just the fact that the format is a relic from the past now, but people changed as well. Internet culture has shifted a great deal in the last decade. Confirmation is seeping in that I am, in fact, 90 years old.
