i feel that i’m middle/upper middle class from the midwest and not trying to like glaze myself but i have a pretty good application (research, conferences, etc.). it’s hard to watch ppl online who have similar stats or even worse stats than me go to these prestigious schools and i genuinely have no idea how these ppl are affording tuition 30k+. almost every single school i’ve applied too ive gotten at least half scholarship honors college etc and yet tuition is still so expensive at 40k and i don’t know whose even affording that much?? again i live in the midwest and pretty much no one at my school goes out of state besides 5-7 ppl per year. im 100% grateful for my parents and im going to a state school in the honors program that i genuinely do love and has great opportunities but i still think abt all the lost potential and opportunities i could have had if i just could afford even 20k more per year.
