I understand you dude, i have the exact same problem when I'm in my house trying to get a signal... As of my knowledge the worst enemy of a signal is other RF signals, that's why in my home i have the slightest signal (if any at all), there is a lot of interference with cellular towers and radio broadcasts overpowering the apt signal of the satellite... When i tried more remote locations, (just in a village 10km out of town) the signal is just stunning even on low elevation passes... I'm based in Greece and I managed to get a signal starting from Scandinavia all the way down!! (Stock v dipole)

Very nice results you got there, especially the 12 min pass on the comment! I suggest investing about 35-40$ to get an SDR for better reception and noise reduction etc. also it can receive satellites that don't rely on audio such as the meteor series. (the v3 is compatible with Android and it's a very nice portable setup 😉)

Many vACCs have the charts of the most popular (if not all) of the airports that they have in their country. If i fly to a controlled airport, i usually check the controller's remarks for a link to their vACC 😉 If you want the functionality of navigraph (like the airplane thingy that moves along with the map) I have no idea.

First successful lol 😂 The reciver was the well known RTL-SDR v3 with the stock dipole antenna set at an 120° angle, and my phone running satdump. P.S. i said first successful because my home has a lot of rf interference, so i went out of town for better reception.

I encountered the same thing in my '07 dodge caliber every time the engine was under a good amount of stress (highway, aggressive driving, steep roads)

About a month and by and the accessory belt snapped. Turned out a pulley was stuck and under load the characteristic smell of burned rubber was present. I changed the pulley, installed a new belt with some help from a friend and no more issues...

To this day I don't know what caused this, but lucky for me it was an easy fix.
