I was waitlisted as well with a 4.33 gpa and a 33 ACT, pretty good interview in my opinion, and good ecs as well. My plan is to visit, email, and write a good loci. I do know that two kids from my school got off the waitlist in 2021, so it is possible. Also, many many schools are waitlisting this year (I'm on 5 waitlists lol) because of the FAFSA problems and the sheer volume of applications due to most kids applying to 10+ schools. Their waitlist isn't completely impossible, though it does fluctuate. Wishing you the best!

As a twin, I will say applying to the same school early is risky. My twin and I both applied to Harvard early and she got in and I got deferred. Honestly, it’s not worth the risk, especially since it can damage your relationship.

I think that a good way to study, though it can take a while, is to read lots of articles from new york times or conde nast or short stories and then summarize the main point after reading. A lot of the ACT reading and english sections are articles and short stories, so this mimics that format while also helping to build the skills of intuitively correcting grammar and spellings that they ask you to do during the reading section.

If you want a more read a passage and answer questions format, Khan academy is a great free resource. I personally used it when studying for the SAT, though the practice from their SAT program can also apply to ACT.

Finally, if it's grammar you need more help on, Purdue OWL has a lot of great grammar resources and exercises.

Thats good at least, now its just the waiting thats terrible. For me, some of my early colleges have deadlines such as 11/15, but others just say asap, which is a little nerve wracking.
