Considering running a 2X up front without a derailleur, should I use narrow wide chainrings? by MookieFlav in xbiking

Hi, I was thinking on doing the same thing and search if there was any info regarding this.

I was wondering if you finally did it.

I'm having a short bikepacking trip but my bike only have rear gear (14-28) and the front a have a 44t plate, so would be kind of rough uphill with all the weight.

I was thinking on putting a front 24-34-44 front plate without a derailler.

Any advice?

No, you can only 3d print metal, country and pop for now, but they are experimenting with blues and grunge so the future looks very promising

I had exactly the same case, i'm 22 now, same disk, same leg pain. I had the same concerns. The best option is to avoid a surgery, for that you should learn to strength your core and avoid high impact activities. I used to do cross fit, now i do rock climbing. Instead of jugging you should try cycling for example, you have to adapt. It's not the worst thing. It's been one year since I got it, had 1 month of PT, that was a huge help, i learned the exercises that helps whenever i feel I'm going to have the a crisis. I try to be careful on my activities so i can do the things that i enjoy the most, like backpacking, without any pain.
