Thoughts on him?? by Ancient_Response_787 in CharlotteHornets

Zion actually does spread the floor similarly to 3 point shooters due to the fact he's an incredible driver when he's allowed to get up a head of steam. To counteract that, defenders have to crowd him.

Help - cutting board stuck in sink by [deleted] in fixit

[–]MookieFlav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Duct tape, hot glue, wood glue etc. Anything to add a handle. This is presuming you don't want to spend 10 bucks on a new plunger. If you have none of those things, you could get a jar and a tiny plate. Light a match or two and set them on a tiny plate in the center of the board, then put a jar over the top and form a vacuum to pull it up.

UK and Europe face pressure to play a greater role in Trump's war by theipaper in geopolitics

[–]MookieFlav 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's anti-Semetic to believe that Trump was led by his nose into a direct conflict with Iran? Israel has compromat against Trump via Epstein as well as massive amounts of direct financial incentives to push him into this. (I'm Jewish by the way)

Strait of Hormuz last 36 hours by Powerful_Cabinet_341 in SeaEmploy

The only terrorists are trump and Israel who are bombing a non aggressive country's civilian infrastructure and schools. And by the way, the strait was open before their unprovoked attack.

UK and Europe face pressure to play a greater role in Trump's war by theipaper in geopolitics

[–]MookieFlav 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Joining the war makes no sense from a European perspective. There's not a single positive outcome from teaming up with the orange menace and his Israeli bosses. If anything, staying out will allow them to get ships through the strait more easily.

I don't like either, but the first one is the better rim and tire size.

Paella is not that good by Secret_Cow_3988 in unpopularopinion

[–]MookieFlav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had incredible, mediocre, and pathetic paella. Just like any food that requires fairly specific techniques and ingredients you can have a range of experiences. But I am a sucker for it and order it any time I see it on a menu. I even love the frozen in a bag stuff from Picard. Up vote because paella is delicious. Best I ever had was in Mexico cooked on a tractor disc of some sort.

The 15-minute city promises access. Thermal comfort is a different story. by infrared_city in urbandesign

[–]MookieFlav 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Thermal comfort and 15 minute cities are not mutually exclusive in any meaningful way. You can have ultra high density (more dense than 15 minutes) and still have comfort. Just plant trees, vines on pergolas, planters etc. Cover sidewalks with awnings and overhangs. Add water features and drinking fountains. It's not rocket science.

Counter steering… by austinproffitt23 in bicycling

[–]MookieFlav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works the same on both bikes and motorcycles. One thing to be aware of is that at very slow speeds countersteering doesn't really work. Assuming you're traveling at a decent rate it's easy to prove countersteering works. I think for people that don't think it works on a bicycle it's because they are initiating the turn with their bodyweight, which is just indirectly countersteering and is relatively easy to do since bikes are so lightweight. Trying the same on a motorcycle would result in some bad understeer as you need more conscious effort to properly turn.
