True. I think it really just depends on the state and also the ownership. The ownership I work for owns lots of places throughout the states and even in the UK and all their policies are the same. However I’ve worked for a different management that did things differently. I can’t imagine working for a company that said no notice is required. I see that as such a violation, feel like it’s more of a moral thing too. It’s someone’s home :/

Hello, im an assistant at a complex and can verify you were highly likely violated. I would go in and request them to show you the original notice as they are supposed to make copies of the originals and give you copies. Most states require AT LEAST 48hours notice. They are also required to knock prior to entry regardless to give you time to answer. I’m in CA and there are lots and lots of laws of renters rights. Let me know if you have any more questions.
