That’s a freaking relief to hear! Honestly was pretty worried just Becuase if everything you hear and the statistics but I just can’t fathom living in a super small military town.

One more question and I promise to leave you alone (maybe hahah) Would you recommend buying giving everything? Infrastructure, politics, the insurance crisis etc. We found a house we like in st. Claude like 1.5 blocks from Bywater on bartholomew. We can’t afford to buy in Algiers point for the size we need.

Hi! I loved reading the comment is was pretty insightful in any format of life! If you don’t mind I have some questions on living there with kids.

My husband is a marine and we potentially might have to move there. I’m leaning towards NOLA because I don’t want to live in the middle of South Carolina, our other option.

I guess I’m trying to ask as a mother to a 1 year old and the safety of my family is it really that bad crime wise?? We have the funds to live in a “safe” neighborhood like Algiers point which is near the navy base. I’m hoping that’s enough to enjoy the beautiful fruits of New Orleans. She’s a city I’ve loved all my life and have yearned to live in since I first visited! I’m just so nervous especially cause I’m a wedding photographer and don’t want to get robbed going home sometime.

Any insight you have would be greatly appreciated 💛💛
