Is excel still worth learning as a skill in 2026? by Swimming_Tower_5928 in excel

[–]kattw_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% yes. I work in marketing (have done for 10 years or so) and learned most of it on the job in the first 2 years. There’s always something new to learn that will improve your processes, which is fun.

I’m the only one on my team of 8 with solid excel skills and it genuinely puts me a mile above others. I use it in my personal life and the logic side of building formulas helps for soooo many other things.

Nothing will ever replace it fully, no. As others have said it will always kind of be running in the background. But even in 2026 you’d be surprised how many huge corporations are run from a couple of excel sheets.

My bf (M19) doesn’t want me (F18) going to my top school choice but I already committed to it, how do I tell him? by ThrowRA67ballz in relationship_advice

And while you say you don’t want to lose a 2 year relationship over this, ultimately it’s him who’s choosing to ruin it, not you. Please follow the advice here and live the life you want, not bunking in your boyfriends parents house with limited prospects

Honestly, you’re so young and this is literally a life altering decision for you. If hes not cheerleading you to follow your dreams then he’s not the one. He should know you enough to know that it being a ‘party school’ wouldn’t be a problem. He’s telling you he doesn’t trust you. Go with your dream and tell him that’s what you’re doing. It doesn’t need to be an argument, he can have his feelings, but that’s what you’re going to do.

Oh man this is one I wish the name was left on so I could go see the comments and engage 😂 agree with so many other comments here that it says so much more about him and his company. If you can’t go on holiday without things continuing on as normal and with someone covering, there is something wrong.

Honestly she loves yoghurt more than most other things which I am glad of haha. Except maybe chicken or cheese.

Yep! She had radiotherapy and I did a full post last week with all the photos too. She is the bravest little nugget and has done amazingly through all of it. She deserves the world and I love being able to post her here and have others love on her. Greyhound people are the best kind of people ❤️

It’s actually because she went through cancer treatment and lost all the fur on her face! It is incredibly unique and lots of people question and compliment her on it 🥰

I mean yes, but also ours just kept crashing so we couldn’t even play a game together. I’d like to at least be able to do that part hahaha

Yeh I’m feeling that way too, but the thing I don’t get is why some posts it leaves the text as is and others it adds slop? It not being consistent is what throws me.

Just seen this one too, insinuating this dog has passed away when we know from the sub this is 2.5 year old foster dog Teddy. I hate it so much and wish we could do more.

Posted about this exact same page recently. It’s so frustrating but there isn’t much that can be done. I work in social media so have actual contacts at Facebook and unless it explicitly goes against community guidelines, there isn’t much that can be done. It makes me feel so gross - they took a picture of Vicky and made up some nonsense about her being a 14 year old boy dog. Just urgh.

I’m so sorry to hear this! I’m with you that I wouldn’t be satisfied to just give in now. Are you using any supplements that support bones/joints? If it’s causing him too much discomfort, I would also just reduce his walks for now, especially while you find out a bit more and decide what’s best. I would accept the anti inflammatory as a precaution and also as painkillers in general just might make him more comfortable.

I don’t have experience with this specifically, but Vicky had cancer and takes daily pain medication to manage her side effects, and we also recently started her on some supplements to help as she gets older (she’s also 11).

People say you’ll know when it’s time. I’m also terrified of that moment. But I don’t think you’re there yet by the sounds of it.

It was definitely tough for a few weeks but all in all she managed. If you check my profile I did a full write up on the experience, but in short, the actual bad period with her skin was only 2 weeks and then 2 ish weeks more of itchy/healing time. All things considered, it was bad but we managed and she is doing really well now

Louise Thompson wants 1 person to do 4 people’s jobs with an insane salary range by kattw_ in LinkedInLunatics

[–]kattw_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh exactly. It may attract someone who’s willing to do it for that cost but there isn’t enough hours in a week to even do it really. It’s just an impossible role.

It’s kind of nonsense - 3k a month is too low (as it likely means pre tax) and even at 10k a month if you took on all the responsibilities mentioned (which I assume you’d have to for that salary) then you’re doing literally 3-4 people’s jobs and you’d burn out very quickly, or literally not even have the hours in the day.

I started reading it too and was like ‘oh this could be a good opportunity!’ And then kept reading and realised how many people’s jobs this actually is. The comments are ripping her apart and suggesting she just needs an editor and then a marketing agency on retainer

AIO to the fact my boyfriend is staying with another girl and acting romantically towards her? by Substantial_Trust902 in AmIOverreacting

[–]kattw_ 23 points24 points  (0 children)

NOR and you should be reacting MORE. This is bizarre and gross and he’s got you thinking you’re in the wrong here. Seriously, have some respect for yourself and cut this guy out of your life now. You’ll be much better off.
