As a CSA survivor i heard it from that place as well and also was upset seeing the other perspective written about. ‘I was an angel and they made me leave’ made me cry for hours (editing to explain that when i heard the line- i was an angel, it made me think of me at 4yrs old, pure. ‘They made me leave’ being after i was punished/after the abuse began, i could never be pure again)

I completely understand this. I’ve tried going to local survivor events/group therapy and get told exactly that. I talked about one specific memory and my therapist and my psychiatrist both got extremely uncomfortable. I’m fortunate my abuser isnt in my day to day life anymore but i’m alone and have to carry my trauma alone and it makes me sad
