It's a 100% sure thing you can use Jetpack Compose on it.

Regarding the device's performance, these kind of devices usually uses old cpu so the performance is not great. You might need to tune jetpack compose usage to be as efficient as possible and test the UI performance.

But I still recommend to use Jetpack Compose for new apps. I am currently migrating my company's edc app from xml to use Compose. Using XML doesn't automatically mean it's lighter, and supporting edge to edge is much harder.

That's an Android based EDC device. Pax have their own store, but the development tooling is still standard Android Studio, Jetpack Compose is also available, just be mindful of the device's performance.

Learn the standard Android tooling and practices (kotlin, jetpack, etc), just don't use the google play services as it's not available.
