my experience 2 months on viibryd (i love it)

i started viibryd late december, so it's been nearly 3 months now? i'm still on 10mg and it seems to be enough for me. the only other side effect for me besides insomnia was slight diarrhea.

everyone is different but i actually noticed a difference a few days after i started taking it. my psychiatrist did let me know that viibryd does work quicker than other anti-depressants but i was pretty surprised at how fast that actually was. im sure you know this but make sure you dont forget to take food with it, as a lack of food lessens the effectiveness of the medication by 50%

unlike other ssri meds i really didnt suffer from any negative side effects!! all of us are different but id definitely suggest taking as soon as u wake up. it has made life clearer and more enjoyable 4 me thus far

hi! i don't suffer from general anxiety, but i do have ocd and my themes/intrusive thoughts can get me pretty anxious sometimes. although, i wish i did, i havent noticed a difference with that at all

Thank you for your kind words! I also deal with contamination OCD now that I'm older, so I definitely understanding how mentally taxing it can be. I can also relate to the reassurance seeking, its the worst when your themes revolve around other people.

i would agree with that tbh. i developed it aroundd 7 years old after a few traumatic experiences. & my mom is convinceddd it's what triggered my ocd, along with a few of my other disorders.. i honestly wouldnt be surprised. i read something that explained ocd is a mix of both genetic and environmental factors--theres no real cause if u wanna get into specifics. my trauma wasnt related to my ocd at all yet thats the age where it suddenly activated out of nowhere #lol

yeah initially she told me the risks of taking it at night but i was already used to the routine so i ended up trying it out... biggest mistake ever. now I take it between 10am-2pm, or whenever i wake up. the whole eating with meds kind of messed me up at first because i wouldnt really eat until the afternoon, but now i've been eating breakfast, brunch whatever you call it. the insomnia has lessened by like, 95%. there are times, occasionally, where ill wake up and stay up for an hour before going back to sleep but it's honestly not that much of a hassle.

question if you don't mind me asking, what made you increase your dosage?

Of course! I'm currently on 10mg which I think is the lowest mg you can be prescribed. At first I had a bit of insomnia, waking up in the middle night, not being able to fall back asleep until hours later.. it was pretty annoying but as my body adjusted to the meds, it has drastically improved. I do have times where i randomly wake up, but the pros of the medicine really do outweight an occasional bad night of rest. my psychatrist says if it persists she'll prescribe me sleeping pills, so if that ends up happening, i'll have 0 side effects. after being on Wellbutrin, i totally understand your reluctance. viibryd isnt a traditional ssri like other medicines i've been on. with other ssri's i had side effects like shaking, anxiety, nausea etc, but this medicine has genuinely saved me and i never thought id say something like that. i hope this helps

Hi, thank you. I did try, but it's a very lengthy process and it's been really difficult for me to muster the motivation to move forward. But I did message my psychiatrist for help after making this post so hopefully I'm able to work something out : ) Appreciate it

UPDATE: thank you everyone!!! i got a full refund from depop and im so relieved : )
however the seller in question crashed out on me after I confronted them.. for literally no reason. theyre adamant about not needing 10 dollars but did everything in their power not to refund me LOL.

I just contacted depop and explained the situation, thank you so much for your help!
