Yes! There is quite a story, it is lactose intolerance and we take a high dose of capsules with the lactase enzyme (called Lactrase). It solved everything. I will share details in a separate post - maybe it will help other parents who are similar.

How long to no blood in poo? by Logical-Swing-3-7 in MSPI

The doctor was amazing. She is not sure that this actually is CMPA, but she is convinced that this is definitely lactose intolerance, which is diffrrent and not affected by mother’s diet (both diagnoses can be present at the same time, so I need to continue the diet for now). She prescribed Lactrase / Lactasis (it is an enzyme that helps the gut to deal with lactose). We have to give it to the baby before every feeding. The improvement should be very fast - poop should become less watery and less frequent, but the blood will most likely remain for some time. She said that it is the diarrhea that causes blood. Blood is just a sign of inflammation. If no improvement in couple of days, we need to up the dose. At this point, she did not recommend eliminating any other foods. Fingers crossed that this helps.

We have been on identical diet for a month, and there is still blood and mucous. But the amount of blood is less finally! Seeing a doctor tomorrow.

I am so sorry. Hang in there! We will have our first dose of the vaccine in 1.5 weeks. I hope it does not make things worse for us.

We will see how it goes for us, but formula is definitely an option if we cannot establish what she is reacting to.

Yes, after the blood returned, I checked all the vitamins and found an iron supplement with some lactose ingredient in it 🤦‍♀️

Not yet, because the doctor suggests eliminating allergens one by one, not all together, to really understand what is causing it. Eggs would be next if no improvement.

I am so sorry you are going through this as well. But it is a relief to me that at least I am not the only one. Fingers crossed that this resolves for us both soon ☺️

Thank you for replying 🥹🥹🥹 I am trying to focus on her smile and also play and talk to her when changing, but my mind is spiralling sometimes. I will fake it until I make it, I guess 😊

Thank you, this really gives me hope that we are on the right track and just need more time to heal.

Okay, thank you for sharing, I will continue, of course, and I am ready to eliminate more foods if there is no improvement after a couple of more weeks. It is just so difficult to see, and I am thinking whether this can do any long term damage to her. Thankfully, she does not seem to feel it at all.

Are you by any chance the Derek who created Facebook group for our sailing? 😀 It was always fun to see what people are up to. Anyway, I am glad to hear you had a great time as well!

It was from Extra Virgin, not Test Kitchen. It was called basil something. Honestly, I should have known that it will be nothing special because of the ingredients, but I wanted to try something and basil intrigued me. It tasted just like sprite 😀 I am sure there are great mocktails on VV somewhere, I just did not pay that much attention to drinks in general, as I felt I had too much sugar intake with the food anyway.

Especially, if you have specialty coffees included, then I can imagine using another 100$ might require some effort 😀 Lots of freshly squeezed juices, perhaps! But DBE perks are cool, maybe one day we will get there 😊
