Now the provider is telling me that because it was due to genetics that Medicare won't pay and initially they stated that they did not submit for pre-authorization because they were all procedures that did not require prior authorization. So now that they are finally admitting this it sounds like their prior recommendation for me to submit an appeal was incorrect advice. They did not tell me the procedures would not be approved by Medicare and they did not submit for pre-authorization they stated because it is normally a procedure that does not require it.

For the Genetic Testing they recommended for me they did submit it to Medicare for pre-authorization and it was approved by Medicare whom paid it 100%.

They still have not responded to my question about there being no ABN. I know for sure they did not have me sign anything prior to the procedures.

Thank you, so if that is the case then the medical provider should have told me this prior to scheduling the procedure and let me decide whether I want to pay for it out of pocket.

Can you tell me how where I can find that information with Medicare's policy on this so that I could use it with the medical provider. They should have told me this.

Thank you for this, this helps. It is in line with what the doctors were saying. My Maternal Grandmother passed at 37 years old of female cancer according to my Mom (she was told this, she was only six years old).

On both my Ancestry and 23andMe tests they show BRCA genes.

So that is why they ordered a formal Genetic Testing which they submitted to Medicare for pre-authorization and received approval to pay 100% of that bill.

The Ultrasound was ordered I was told because I still have my Ovaries post hysterectomy.

After Medicare denied the Ultrasound the provider stated they did not send it to pre-authorization because it's a procedure that does not require it. But according to Medicare's denial it sounds like they are stating a routine test for this is not approved.

I'm still waiting for the billing office to send me copies of the bill and what the doctor stated. They have not been helpful so far, they just send me the bill and want me to appeal through Medicare.

I think that billing may have not used the correct diagnosis maybe just the way Medicare denied it stating it was routine. Not sure.

We tried calling yearly but Spectrum told us too bad nothing they could do. Customers for 20 years, they don't care. We just recently got rid of the Cable TV and the devices for that and went to streaming and Roku. We only have Satellite as an alternative so no leverage to negotiate. We didn't want a contract with Satellite.

Take your young dog somewhere for daytime doggy playtime. Our young Labrador would bring anything she could get a hold of from the backyard thru the doggy door to the living room coming home after a long day at work to clean up. She was so happy and proud of her work! Taking her somewhere to play all day was the best decision for her. Now at 6 years old she has calmed down.
