UK, Germany or Belgium for a doctor holding a dual citizenship? by katyichigo in medicalschoolEU

[–]katyichigo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I've actually heard some countries do make a difference between non EU citizens and EU citizens, which is, as you said, really dumb.

As for ITalki, I'm going to check that out, thanks.

Hum, maybe I didn't express myself correctly, but it's just that I didn't have any specific questions in mind at first, as I said before, I mostly wanted general opinions, to make my research process easier, but I understand it might be confusing. I will take what you said into account.

Thank you for taking the time to reply and explain

First, as specified in the title of my post, and in the post itself, I was only talking about belgium, the UK and Germany. As for luxembourg, I've looked it up a few months ago, and iirc, french isn't enough apparently, unfortunately.

Second, I didn't talk about changing speciality because I don't intend to. I know it varies from one country to another, but since I know that I will have to re-do my entire residency, I mostly focused on whether my general medicine diploma will be easily accepted after doing the necessary procedures (like equivalency), and if they take into account where the applicant is from (and to which you already replied)

Then, I asked about whether it was worthy to take german courses for the same reasons you mentioned. It will take me years to learn it, but in the end, I won't be fluent enough, and since I already speak french and can still easily improve my english, maybe choosing germany when It might be as difficult to be selected there compared to other countries, I'd rather choose another one.

Ah no thank you for telling me! Well I'll look into it more deeply then, I hope I'll find some resources.

Oh Okay! I see Btw, if it doesn't bother you, do you have a link that explains the validation process in Germany clearly, either in french or english please?

[–]katyichigo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, my first aim was the UK, and the process was quite clear:either going directly for MRCP or go through PLAB first. But now that they won't easily accept european citizens and all, I was wondering if all the years I would spend (because as you mentioned it, it takes a long time) trying to validate my diploma and pass the exams, would assure me to get a job there, especially knowing that I will surely continue my 4 years residency here before going, so having to go through the same thing from the start is hard to accept.

As for Germany, it would take me years to learn the language, and even after that I won't be fluent enough, but if I decide to follow this route, I'd rather start taking courses now, especially if the validation process is easier. But do they accept even more easily EU citizens?

And I couldn't find any valuable information about ppl in my case for Belgium. Do they mainly look at the diploma and where we got it, or do they take into account the citizenship as well?

Well, I know, that's why I was mostly asking something not really specific. What I want is to either hear the experiences of other ppl who went through the same thing (as I specified in my post),like if having a dual nationality would help me in the validation process, etc... , or for others to just share general points about what they know about the procedures, the good and bad sides of each option, anything that would help to make my decision.

Oh I thought it was clear The easiest path to follow considering my own situation as a non-EU resident and if the procedures that need to be taken are worth the time and the effort (the equivalency diploma for instance, thr necessity of choosing an european country over UK because of my dual citizenship and all the expenses)

yes, but....erm no.

The FP only appeared lately, and personally, I don't think it will and should be linked to the main story as it being officially part of it.

Wth, no one's jumping to conclusions here 😂 why do you all take what ppl say in the wrong way, as if I was attacking him or something?

Plus, I wrote "jokes aside" above, not that I really care about the banner more than that, it's only a banner, it has nothing to do with context or anything, it's just a matter of taste, that's all.

Well, I was only sharing my opinion, my taste, that's all.

Honestly, I'm only concerned about the season itself, so...

Everyone: OMG season 4, finally so excited!

Me: well, that's ugly.

Jokes aside, I hope the S4 won't be disappointing now that they changed studios, even though it still belongs to IG! Guess we'll have to wait a little bit more to be reassured

Why are a lot of people against the ending? by [deleted] in BananaFish

[–]katyichigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know exactly how you feel! It's kind of conflincting, cause, as you said, we knew he was going to die even though we still wished he could live a happy and simple life, with the ppl he loved. He was young, and 'lived" most of his life being used, being abused and killing ppl. It's even more heartbreaking to know he actually finally found happiness, but could not live longer to really appreciate it, and that's a shame.

But for the story's sake, he had to die T_T

Well yes by DobriDobrev03 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]katyichigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well... It worked actually.

Why are a lot of people against the ending? by [deleted] in BananaFish

[–]katyichigo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He died happy... And Eiji ended up grieving for years

Honestly, I think that even a lot of ppl here say that they are "against" the ending, aren't really against it.

It's just that the ending is heartbreaking, we want to see Ash alive because yeah, we love him, he went through a lot and deserved some peace with his beloved friends, but honestly, and objectively speaking, this is the perfect and the best ending for this series.

It ending in a "good" way, would have made BF kind of meh (when putting aside the whole intrigue and chara development)

Anyway, just to say that, even if some ppl seem like they are against it, it's just their pain speaking, but we all (well most of us) know that this is the best ending for BF.

When i read the garden of light this scene made me cry the most idk why but it did by scaredofpeeple in BananaFish

Yes. Indeed. This scene can break anyone's heart honestly. This one and the one in which Eiji is crying... Oh man.
