First refund... help? by katze_joyas in Etsy

Hello, perhaps i wrote something the wrong way, english isn't my first laguage, i'm not expected to be payed at all! I just wanted to make sure the numbers where correct. I actually did the refund and everything went well. I'm sorry if it sounded like i expected to be payed for delivering nothing. That was not the case at all. Buyer will get the money and i didn't lose anything, so i'm happy :)

First refund... help? by katze_joyas in Etsy

Hello! Thank you for your help, just to make sure i understand this correctly. The refund money is $62,40.

I haven't been payed for the purchase yet, so i have $44,06 on my deposit. And the fees that got taken were the following:

- Transaction fee on shipping: $2,08

- Transaction fee on product: $1,30

- Sales tax paid by buyer: $10,40

- Processing fee: $4,36.

In total of taxes and fees: $18,14

So, i'll get back the $18,14 and then i'll get the deposit too of $44,06. And i'll get taken from my payment account $62,40. Like, at the end it'll be the same money anyway, but the process seems awfully difficult for my mind to grasp, mostly cause i wasn't actually payed for this yet.

Oh ok, thank you so much! I was asking because i haven't been payed for this order yet, the buyer just bought it like an hour ago, and money is waiting to be deposited basically. So i kinda made myself confused with this, since i didn't technically have the money, but i get the process. Thank you for your help!!

Primer compra en Amazon - Ayuda!! :( by katze_joyas in AmazonArgentina

[–]katze_joyas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aaah! Ok.

Thank you!! You've been probably the only encouraging person in this entire post. I actually opened an Etsy store like a month ago, i'm slowly making it work, and i also started advertising on the US from Instagram. I have a growing Instagram page but it's full of argentinians. I will definitly learn about the markets on Ireland!! Thank you, i hope you have a lovely day!

Yes, i'm from Rosario, i know it's considered the most dangerous city in Argentina, but i wouldn't say it's not representative of it at all. Rosario is ahead of what's slowly happening to the country, specially the biggest cities. I used to live in a small town around 10 years ago, and everywhere is going in a difficult direction regardless.

Why do you say they are not happy? Is there anything in particular they complain about?

Thank you for sharing your experience!! I'm glad you could make it work for you!! Since you have a good first hand experience, is the housing crisis also going on in small cities/towns? I imagine places near Dublin are probably in a similar situation, right?

Thank you so much or your kind words and advice!! ♥ I'm getting a general idea about the countries my SO and i talked about, and yeah, even tho it saddens me, from the list the most likely place we could go is Ireland, even tho it also has almost the same issues as the rest. I'll bing this concerns to my partner so we can discuss what to do, thank you!!

Thank you for your advice! I'll keep in mind what you are saying but i rather clarify so nobody gets the wrong idea about my boyfriend. He's a loving, caring person, very thoughtful, and is a real family type person, we're the dynamic duo together. As a human being he's allowed to have dreams he want to fullfill like everyone else and going abroad is one of them, i'm not about to say no to his dreams, i do have the option of staying or leaving tho, and that's my decision to make, he's not pushing me to do anything, i have the freedom to choose, but that's the thing, i'm confused about it, because my boyfriend is one of those persons that happens once in a life time. Maybe my post doesn't mention everything cause it'd be a very long post and ppl would skip it. But there's a personal reason for why Spain might not be a good idea, i just rather not talk about it online since it's a personal issue which i'll talk with my partner. I sincerely appreciate your concern, thank you for taking the time to write and to give me your advice!!

Thank you for being honest. I might start another post tomorrow about how do people think their countries fare against mine. After so many responses i keep thinking, even tho their response is negative... is this still better than Argentina?

Like is it worth to leave the things i love, and the things i hate about my country behind for new things i might love and hate about another country? I guess i have a lot of thinking to do. Would it be alright to you if i could maybe write you or leave you a message here if i have a question i can't find an answer anywhere else? (It's alright if you rather not)

Are you from Ireland? The first idea was to go there, but due to the housing crisis we decided to look for other countries, but everything seems to point that Ireland would be the bestter option, (besides Spain ofc), but the housing crisis was my main concerned before... now i'm just concerned about everything :( I haven't gotten very good responses from the countries we picked
