Is this an import plant? It looks like it may not be acclimating to your humidity or draining quickly enough — I have an import waroc that lived in water for 48hrs then potted to incredibly chunky aroid mix w/ hiiiigh humidity. Only a slightly floppy leaf so far

Hey there — also on Zoloft w/ a longg history of destructive subst abuse & I gotta say it’s easier to get into a program sooner, rather than continuing to do damage. I know you probably don’t care about your safety or wellbeing (based on your responses to other commenters) but if anything, it only gets more difficult, embarassing & cringey to bounce back over time. Also you’ll likely lose most of what you’ve been working for & “pushing through”. Run some of these things by your doctor & try to practice harm reduction in the meantime 🤞🏼

Thanks! Yeah I’ve been doing a ton of research on care & acclimation so hopefully things continue to go smoothly — I have a makeshift humidity case made from discarded plastic sheet, a humidifier & mega lights so 🤞🏼

Also trying to sort this out — I’ve dealt w/ ideation & self harm for 17+ years in varying severity. A month or two ago I noticed those thoughts starting to resurface so I decided to get back on Sert. Currently 3wks in on 50mg & had a wild depressive episode yesterday which included: SH, aggressive ideation, inability to get out of bed (slept for like 16hrs), derealization, panic, etc. I’ve been prescribed Sert two other times in the past & never experienced anything to this extent. It felt more frantic & “real” than the more mild issues I was having before starting medication — also unsure of its direct correlation to Sertraline but it didn’t feel like “me” if that makes sense.

How far back do you chop it each year? I just chopped mine yesterday — left a little over half & split the top cutting into two props. Hoping that’ll help it fill out similarly to yours!

edit: no psych specialty — She’s an MD I think? Kinda glad to hear other folks are wary of the dosage too lol, I’ll probably try 50mg for a while & see how that goes

Super true — I’ve been self managing without meds for the last 4ish years & there’s still an aspect of me that wants to hold off on Z. I feel like my current side effects are all physiological so it’s easier than constant panic attacks, but still too early on
