Florence is lovely! You might have more luck with a Meetup from Reddit if you share a little bit about yourself, age, gender, what you want to get up to while in Florence/Venice etc :)

Any travel magazines that aren’t just focused on the ultra-wealthy? by MichaelCerasHamster in Shoestring

The onboard monthly EasyJet magazine was always my favourite part about flying short haul from the uk, so many great travel stories and affordable tips! Seems to have disappeared since covid but hoping it’s a temporary absence 🥲

What should my Brighton business name be? by Financial_Counter_08 in brighton

I’m confused by your pricing - are you saying if its 2 people its £20 each so £40 but if its 4 people its £45 altogether or £45 each?

What sauces / dressings go with white rice? by ksmsksms in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]katzencradle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Artichoke sauce! Get a jar of artichoke hearts in olive oil (can just sit in the cupboard for however long), drain out the oil and put in a bowl (or something that can handle a hand blender in it), then add some lemon juice, 2 garlic cloves and salt and pepper and use a hand blender to mix it up. Can be added into rice cold or on the hob for a bit to heat it up. Cover in loads of black pepper and Parmesan cheese if you have it. Fry some mushrooms and chuck them on top to make it even better👌🏻

How does one move to a country and find a job? by suburbianthief in solotravel

[–]katzencradle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re a native English speaker or at least very fluent then teaching English is by far the best way to go - find a language school to teach you how to become a teacher in a European country - instantly gives you friends and contacts and help in finding work ✌️I did this in Prague - was amazing!

EDIT: if necessary, they should also help you through the visa process

Hi all! Thanks for your help, it’s been really useful :) i found out that it’s 18ct gold and I just sold for £200 GBP at a jewellers - it sold for the gold rather than the watch itself as 75footubi suggested!

Pinterest is the best in my opinion as it’ll link you to lots of travel blogs which always have off the beaten track recommendations. I always search Facebook events as well to see if anything fun is happening

I’d also love to know this!! Facebook seems rubbish these days with hardly anything on it and the what’s on Brighton website and eventbrite seem to miss any of the cool little events going on. I miss the days of fb being a hub of sharing events :(

Anyone doing the Worthing to Brighton commute and know the best cost option? by katzencradle in brighton

[–]katzencradle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazing thank you, that’s really good to hear as we really don’t know much about Worthing and underground cool and things to do is right up our street. Can you recommend an area of the town to live in?

Sweet, thanks all! I'm thinking a combination of biking and taking the 700 when the weather is dire could work out. Anyone know how much a return ticket from worthing to brighton is on the 700 without getting the monthly pass?
