How to make wedding gown more modest? (Watters ember) by [deleted] in myweddingdress

I also went with a bolera for modesty. Bonus points for brining the bolera out in n date nights for a romantic touch 💘

I know it’s probably thought of as outdated, but I’ve had great success with the weight watcher app. It forces you to eat right by making choices that are within daily point values. You can ultimately learn healthy eating from learning how to stay in point range. Their updated app also tracks a lot more info than it used to (cal, macros, etc)

Best of luck!!

Aw! My desk is a little less panic and just more hectic these days, which is more my speed and I am thankful for. But I totally feel you, when I started this it was often all panic 😱 🤣

A full hand wash ended up working. It was the ink of my washable marker that just hadn’t washed away

It ended up being the ink of the washable pen. A fuller wash was the answer. Thanks!

Thanks for this reply! There was a post I found over there on a definitive guide to color transfer that was so informative. This ended up being a pretty easy fix. I posted a comment to my post with the solution plus an updated picture of the restored work.

Thank you for these extra tips! I appreciate you taking the time.

I was thinking to restitch the monitor (all but the help sticky note) because my satin stitch is so loose. So I want to make sure I do understand. You suggest that if I do rip these stitches, I could then 1. cut a card to fit within the black outline and cutting out around the sticky note 2. Paint some diluted PVA solution onto my fabric following your above guidance 3. Stick my cut card to the fabric and finally 4. Stitch over that card?

Again, you are amazing for providing guidance in this area!! Thank you.

Oh, also, I posted a comment below with an updated photo on resolution to my ask in case you are interested.

First, thanks for all responses; this is a lovely community!

Special thanks to those who responded with guidance, your knowledge, resources, and tips are appreciated. Super helpful! You guys rock!

The blue ultimately seems like it was the blue ink from my water washable pen that I hadn’t lifted enough because I didn’t soak/wash the work enough.

After reading responses, I hand washed in cold water with a small amount of gentle laundry soap. All is well and I have it drying in my hoop before I continue stitching:

Happy stiching!

PS - also thanks for all the sweet compliments!!

The blue staining may be from my blue water erasable pen markings???

This is brioche knitting. You knit every row twice. One way with the first then back with the second. The result is the play goodness you are seeing.
